How to Test Your Squeeze Pages & Headlines

In order to understand and meet the needs of your audience, it is important for you to do some testing. When testing your sqeeze page or headline, you first need to have split testing software in order to get accurate results. There is a ton of split testing software available on the market. If you simply go to Google you just need to type in the term “ab split testing” in the search box and a ton of sites will come up. Check out what each one offers to find the one that’s right for you. Most of these split testing software programs can run for as much as $600 but there are others that are much cheaper.

Actually if you want a good suggestion, check out www.absplittesting.com. This is only $99 and it offers everything you need. You can test anything on your website with 100% compatibility! You can test audio and video, moving images, banners... Whatever you have on the front page of your site you can test. There are no limitations. Price alterations, colors, headlines, you name it, it can be tested. Remember the only way you know if your website is selling is through testing. Think about it. If you put in all that work to build your website and promote your product, you may as well make the most of your time and money by testing your efforts. That way you’ll be able to improve your conversions and the amount of money you have in the bank!

But to get to the main point of this article on what to look for when testing your squeeze pages and headlines, you need to look at the numbers. If you are split testing different things on a squeeze page, the general rule of thumb is that you should look for page views of about 1000 to get accurate conversion numbers. And if you’re split testing two different headlines you should also look at the same 1000 page views. You can even evaluate it this way – 1000 page views or 25 opt-ins. Those are good numbers to use in order to see accurate results.

You can even do it by the day. Say, two weeks or a week to see what the numbers tell you. I prefer to do it this way. Once you get your results make sure you make your changes right away. A lot of people fail to do this right away and are throwing money down the toilet. Once you see the page that has a better result, use that in your marketing efforts and implement those changes right away.

Matt Bacak
