Writing a Killer Sales Letter
If you have a product that you need to sell it is extremely important for you to consider the online world. Although selling through direct mail can be effective, you should also consider other mediums in order to gain exposure for your product. A great way to do this is by having an online sales letter! A sales letter website packed with your products keywords is a quick and easy way to draw in an audience. However, keywords and a good product are not the only things that sell. A well written sales letter seals the deal. If you’ve never written a product sales letter, no need to worry. Simply follow these simple steps...
Must Have Sales Letter Components:
1.Headline – to get your readers undivided attention
2.Sub-headline - Very important! It helps you expand or support that main headline and gives the prospect more reasons to continue reading.
3.Opening Paragraph - One thing I’ve found with my opening paragraphs is to keep them short, simple and straight to the point. A few words, perhaps two or three are good for opening up your paragraph.
4.Credibility – This allows me the right to talk about my particular product or service. Mention your expertise here. This helps in establishing your credibility and makes your visitor want to buy from you.
5.Testimonials - Basically, you want to make sure that you have testimonials to back up your credibility because then you let people see the proof that your product really is good. This backs up your credibility.
6.Bullet Points – bullets are really important. You should have five to eight bullets that are benefit-driven. Five to seven is actually much better. I’ve found that odd numbers out-pull even numbers when it comes to sales letter conversion.
7.... More Testimonials – It builds believability and credibility.
8.Free Bonuses – This helps convert your prospects into buying customers whereby increasing your sales! People LOVE free stuff. Bonuses are very powerful tools to use in your sales letter.
9.Money-Back Guarantee – A sure way to increase your sales.
10.State Your Price – By letting your customers know the price of your offer one more time, they will know exactly what they are going to get.
11.Pay Button – Explain to your prospect how they are going to pay and where they can make payment.
12.Close – Tell them what it is exactly that you want them to do. But you have to say it boldly. For example, “... grab your wallet right now and then click the link below to fill out the form and receive blah, blah...”
13.Postscript – This has been proven to be the second most important component of your sales letter behind your headline. There have been studies that show that when people read your sales letters, they read the top and scroll down to the bottom.
If you follow these steps when creating your sales letter, you’re sure to make sales.
