How to Hide Your Affiliate Link

If you are promoting a product there are times where you just want to hide the fact that you are an affiliate. You don’t want to seem as though you’re pushing a product because you want to make a quick buck. So, what do you do? You customize or shall I say you hide your affiliate link so those seeing your link have no idea you have any association with the product you are recommending.

So, how is this done? It’s fairly simple. Let me explain...

You get an affiliate link it’s going to be like adomain.com/ with some weird set of numbers and letters at the end of the link. Basically, everybody’s affiliate program always shoots out a different link. Then there’s a certain identification or ID number on that link that points back to you. But these links are usually pretty ugly and long.

This can easily be changed. When I get an affiliate link, it’s easy to make sure that people don’t know it’s an affiliate link. What I’ll do is I’ll go in and I create a redirect. As soon as you log into the C-panel, there’s a thing called a redirect. I log into my control panel, and I create a redirect. You can find it on the right-hand side of C-panel.

So, let’s say I’m promoting a health ebook. What I’ll do is I’ll put in mydomain.com – so I place a redirect to mydomain.com/healthebook. It’s that simple. So people just see that link, which looks like it’s a page within my site. Visitors have no idea that it’s actually a link to another site through my redirect. This is a sure way to get cookied and get credit for your recommendation.

However, sometimes when I put in those long affiliate links assigned to me, those affiliate links just don’t take inside C-panel. The set of numbers just don’t get picked up. And when I try the link, it just doesn’t go anywhere. How do I get around that? Well, what I do is I just go to www.tinyurl.com. Then I put the link in there – the one that I just had a little bit of trouble with inside C-panel. Well, I put my link in there and then I have it generate a new link. So, it turns that link into a new link. So, now the link will look something like tinyurl12345. Now, I take that link, go add it into C-panel, and now I’ve got my redirect! It’s a pretty neat trick. My link will now appear as mydomain.com/healthebook. Basically, this allows my visitors to go to that exact location when I send them an email.

If you’re not using redirects I highly recommend it especially if you want to continue to build your online empire!

Warmest regards,

Matt Bacak

Joint Venture Deals – Compromise is Key

Joint Venture deals are a great way to build your business to exponential levels that can sometimes be unimaginable in the beginning. However, by establishing partnerships with companies in a complementary business it’s an excellent way to grow and leverage your business.

So, why is it that so many online businesses are now jumping on the joint venture bandwagon? Well, it can make both parties a lot of money!

Most joint venture (JV) partnerships are usually limited to a certain project which allows both parties to share in revenues, expenses and management of the venture. The JV partnership can either be for one specific project or a continuing business relationship that draws in revenues and profits for both individuals. Although JV’s sound like a good deal you have to ensure you have trust between you and your new partner. Regardless of how big or how small the deal is you need a certain comfort level to establish a healthy and fruitful relationship. It may be a short lived partnership or it could be longer depending sometimes upon the results and relationships you establish.

But what if you are entering into a JV deal that you’re not comfortable with? What do you do?

Well, I know a story of one online marketer who entered into a partnership with another website owner to sell their eBook. However, when given the link to promote this eBook it lead to a squeeze-page for that other website owners website. The joint venture partner was capturing the names of this other website owner’s visitors. However, the web owner promoting the book didn’t feel comfortable having this JV partner capturing the names of his list.

If you are uncomfortable doing anything make it completely clear with your JV partner. In this case, if he is not willing to change your link to a direct link to the product then perhaps you shouldn’t be doing business with him. Although capturing the names of your JV partner’s web visitors is common practice in online marketing, if you’re not comfortable with it, let your partner know and he should be able to establish something that better suits you. Remember, this is your business and you have the right to choose how and what you do with it. If your JV partner wants to keep the squeeze page consider compromising by getting paid for the leads you’re sending him. You can also find out if those visitors will be tracked so that if he makes a sale you get credit. Do what feels right! Compromise and comfort are two of the most important things when building relationships that will grow your business and the business of your JV partner.

Warmest regards,

Matt Bacak

“Create your own eBook in 48 hours or less!”

Did you know that 99% of all eBooks are created incorrectly? Too many Internet businesses have no idea how to create an eBook. They don't have the knowledge in order to take an eBook and create it the right way.

How do you create an eBook correctly? Look to a standard hard copy book for guidance. How is the book formatted? What is the layout? What content is covered? How are the topics structured? Use this as a guide to write and format your eBook. If you want your eBook to be perceived as a high value product then use the same standards as a traditional hard copy book.

Seek out the opinions and suggestions about your eBook from people that you respect. Don't just ask your family members. Ask people that have business acumen and an expertise level that you respect. You need an objective point of view. You need somebody to be brutally honest with you and will give you the straight up opinion about your eBook. Ask them to tell you how to make your eBook better and how to get it to stand out from the crowd.

The first page of your book is the first impression that your customer will have about the eBook. Your first page must grab your reader and wow them. If you neglect the first page then your eBook may be tossed in the virtual trash bin at the hands of an annoyed customer.

What content should you put in your eBook? Let's say that you wanted to write an eBook on acne. You might not be an acne expert, but have found a niche market for this eBook and accompanying products. You don't have to write acne content from scratch. Instead, you can compile information already written about acne.

Here's how to compile information and create your own eBook within 48 hours:
Step 1: Go to the Internet and type in the term "acne articles".
Step 2: Highlight the entire article including the resource box at the bottom of the article. Do this for several articles.
Step 3: Use the bio box to contact the author each article. Tell each author that you are writing an acne eBook and wanted to use their article. Explain that you will include their bio and link to their website. Therefore, it is free advertising for them.
Step 4: Craft the eBook by compiling the articles that have permission from the authors.
Step 5: Turn the word document into a PDF file.
Step 6: Your eBook is done!

Tip: Don't spend time thinking about your eBook. If you think too much then you will impede your process. You will complicate things which results in laziness and a resistance to finishing the eBook. If you can't compile and craft your eBook in 48 hours or less than you are thinking too much. Just do it and don't think! Don't overcomplicate things.
