“Lucrative PR Strategies for Internet businesses”

What PR strategy can you use now that will consistently earn you money? You can participate in the Google AdSense program. Google AdSense places related advertisements on your website. You earn money every time somebody clicks on these advertisements.

You can also max out the use of press releases. Sending press releases on a constant basis benefits you in so many ways. Press releases provide fresh content which search engines, such as Google, favor. These search engines will rank your website higher because of all the updated content.

It doesn’t matter what niche and industry you are in. There is always cutting edge, shocking, and new information coming out that would interest people in your niche. You can roll this information into your PR campaign to gain attention. You can also promote this same material offline.

Also seek out third party endorsements. Third party endorsements can skyrocket your success. For example, let’s say you wrote a book. If you get a celebrity or somebody to mention you and your book on a television show or in the newspaper then your popularity will soar. This will lead to a spike in sales.

The good news about third party endorsements is that they can spread quickly across the Internet. For example, people will Blog about you and/or discuss you in their forums. They will put information up about you on their website. All of these venues will have links that point directly back to you. This popularity will prompt your sales to increase dramatically. PR is that powerful.

Think about how you open up a brick and mortar store. When you open it up you advertise in as many locations and media as possible. For example, you put ads in the phone book, newspaper, television, billboards, etc. People tend to treat online businesses differently when they start them. For some reason they don’t think there are many areas to advertise their online business. This is a false belief. There are many more ways to advertise your online business in both the online and offline worlds.

If you really want to maximize the power of PR you could set up a website that consists of newsfeeds. For example, let’s say your niche is about guitars. You could set up a website that has news feeds about guitars. This would drive traffic to your website through updated content.

Another PR strategy is to have a question sheet that you can give to the media. The media, such as reporters and interviewers, don’t have the time to think of all the questions they can ask you. So provide them with a set of questions that they can ask you.

How important are joint ventures? There is a shift in the joint venture arena. Huge companies are acquiring smaller companies. Consolidation is the theme of the times. Huge companies acquire smaller companies so they could tap into their customer base. For example, they want all the Blog content and the people that read these Blogs.

People read your Blogs not necessarily just for the content, but for your personality. If they like your personality then they will continue to read your Blog. If they don’t like your personality then they may read your Blog once and leave it. So let your personality shine through in your Blog if you want to keep readers that you want to target.

The same personality theory applies to podcasts. If you entertain people and they are having a good time then the number of podcast listeners you have will soar.

“Avoid event marketing sales at all costs!”

When people come to your website they are looking for something. These people are seeking, searching, and looking for somebody to lead them. They didn’t come to your website by accident. They came to your website because they were drawn to you through your marketing story.

You want to create a group of people that buy your products and services over and over again. This type of customer purchases products from you more than once. These types of sales are much easier to achieve because you already have a buying customer. Build a relationship with this customer and you will earn more sales then you thought possible.

However, most people end up doing event marketing sales. This means that they sell one product to a customer and that is all. They don’t market to the customer in the future to sell more products. Basically, they let their list die and don’t use it to their advantage. Avoid this type of selling. It takes more work and you earn less money.

Instead you should focus on creating a cult following. This is not a religious cult. It is an ethical cult following of people that are truly interested in you, your business, and your product. These people will stick by your side. They will even market your services for you through word of mouth.

We are persuaded on a daily basis. We are persuaded by the media through the news, commercials, etc. We are persuaded by our friends. For example, a friend will persuade you to see a certain movie or buy a certain brand of jeans. Persuasion is doing nothing more than leading people to their own most logical conclusion which you happen to share with them.

The lesson is to build a relationship with your list so you have a cult following that buys products from you over and over. You will earn the most money this way and have happy customers at the same time.

All ideas are important, but if they are not implemented then they are meaningless. When you attend seminars and learn more about Internet businesses you have to participate. Your co-attendees are idea generators and teammates that you can utilize. Most people don’t take advantage of this face to face networking to the fullest extent. These are prime opportunities to create a million dollar idea with another peer.

Are you trying to meet a celebrity or famous so you can interview them? It is difficult to track them down, unless you are the paparazzi. Even if you do track them down it is extremely difficult to grab even two minutes of their time. The good news is that you can use the Internet to your advantage.

How can you use the Internet to catch the attention of these celebrities? Set up a website that called “Ask(their name)”. For example, “askbillclinton.com”. Have a two minute audio on the website that asks the celebrity for help. Explain that you want to do a tele-fundraiser with them. This allows the celebrity to visit your webpage and view your pitch on their time. Your pitch should be clean, brief, and of high audio quality.

How can you build off of this two minute online website pitch idea? You can create a viral audio postcard. The viral audio postcard can contain the two minute pitch. You can send this viral audio postcard all over the internet. You can use the postcard to keep track of who raised the most funds. A great way to accomplish this would be through a viral postcard affiliate program. You could build a huge, valuable list that is of value to both you and the celebrity.

Tip: You can utilize the viral audio postcard in any niche. For example, if you are a singer and want your song to spread throughout the Internet then a viral audio postcard works well. You can send your song for people to preview and get exposure.

“The Power of Portable Viral Marketing”

The key to a thriving marketing system is to find the right message and send it to the right target audience. Essentially you have to have the right voice in the right market at the right time. You can find the right voice and right message by asking your audience about what they want. Run an Ask campaign to find out what they want and give it to them.

How important is viral marketing as part of your marketing campaign? Viral marketing is crucial. Advertising and buying media is very expensive whereas viral marketing brings your more advertising for less money and effort. Viral marketing is a way to get people to communicate among themselves through word of mouth.

Technology has enabled people to take everything with them. For example, they have iPods on which they can download print material, audio, and video. If you have print, audio, and video on your website only then you are limiting your options. Why? The attention span on the Internet is very short. You will lose many people before you have finished communicating your message.

Portable devices like the iPod, on the other hand, enable people to download all of your content and listen to it at their leisure. They are much more likely to pay attention to all your content because they can listen to it while at the gym, riding in the car, and wherever they want. Plus, downloading this information is very quick and easy for them.

Viral marketing works better when you tap into communities and social networks. You can survey these circles of people to find out what they want. Ask for information in a non-aggressive manner. Slowly weave your way into these groups to find out what they are looking for.

Viral marketing gives people the ability to do what they know how to do already. It gives them the ability to speak to others about things they are passionate about. These things can be you and your products. Viral marketing is a marketing campaign that is like a snowball going down a hill. The longer the snowball rolls, the bigger the snowball becomes. It builds on itself. Viral marketing follows the same concept.

Also use social networks, such as myspace, to build lists. You can build a friends network on myspace that consists of thousands of people. These are people that you can email at any given time. You can build a relationship with these people. You can promote your products to them. A side benefit is that they will often promote your products to others as well.

“Don’t take it personally!”

Email marketing includes knowing how to write great copy. Your email message should be filled with relevant content, but don’t forget about the sales pitch. You should also survey your customers to find out what solutions they need. You can then pitch them products that will solve these problems.

Your copy should have compelling language that gets your email subscribers to take action. You have to point out why they can’t live without the product you are pitching. There is nothing wrong with selling as long as you are selling good stuff that your subscribers will need.

How important is it to maintain your email subscriber list? It is a voluntary list. You are only going to sell to people that want to buy your list. You will have people unsubscribe. This is a fact of life and you can’t take it personally. People unsubscribe for a variety of reasons. For example, they may have a new email address.

You can always obtain new subscribers that are interested in your product. So don’t worry about people that unsubscribe. You will have new subscribers flood in that really do want your products. Focus on the people that want your products and are in interested in what you have to offer.

To avoid a huge unsubscribe rate, you can use a double opt-in method when people sign up for your list. This means that people will input their name and email address on your website. They will be then sent an email asking them to confirm their subscription. Once they click on the link in this email they will be added to your list.

What is the biggest mistake that people make with their email marketing? The biggest mistake is that they don’t stay in touch with their subscribers. For example, they let four months go by before they send an email. And they want immediate action in the email. The connection with your customers needs to be maintained.

“Which works best in email: Long or short copy?”

Have you ever received an email that is 7 pages long? How long should email messages be? Do long emails or short emails work better? The answer is that your emails should be brief. Your email is just a vehicle to get the subscriber to take action. For example, your email should be to the point and get people to go your Blog. Your email copy can tell people to head to your Blog for information about a specific topic. Then on your Blog you can have long copy.

Long copy in your email is also bad because spam filters don’t like long copy. Spam filters will imprison your emails in spam prison if they detect a certain number of specific words. For example, you may have long copy in your email that references the words “weight loss” several times. Spam filters will perceive these references as spam and send your email to spam prison. So provide short email copy instead.

Create a dialog with your subscribers. Give them a way to talk back. This will create a much deeper relationship. Your email copy should not just talk at the subscriber. The copy should ask the subscriber for their feedback. Personalize your emails as though you were talking to a friend and want their feedback.

Tip: Your emails should look spontaneous, personal, and relevant. Your subscribers should think that your email is coming from a pal.

Can you have a relationship that is too close to your email subscribers? Can you be too revealing and counterproductive? Yes. Your goal is to be an expert on the topic that people are subscribing for. If you write about your own personal problems and violate your expertise then you are going to ruin the relationship with your subscribers. Take time to think about what personal information, if any, you reveal to your email subscribers. For example, you would not reveal emotional outbursts such as a nervous breakdown.

People want solutions. Your emails can’t lose sight of this. You have to constantly provide information on the topic that you are an expert on. You can still establish a relationship, but the relationship should be light and filled with humor. You may lose subscribers from time to time, but the subscribers that do stay with you are targeted and worth their weight in gold. Focus on retaining these customers by providing pertinent information.

“Create a fan club out of your email list”

Email is a great way to connect with people and carry any kind of business message. For example, you can use this technique to sell software to large corporations and the masses. Email marketing is powerful, but only if you know how to use it properly. You need to build and cultivate a relationship with your list if you want to optimize the use of the email marketing.

The key to email marketing is to focus on the customer. You have to establish and build a relationship with your list. Don’t just focus on the first sale. Instead, you should provide your list with other offers and information. Your customer list craves information from you. They don’t want a direct pitch. They love to have newsletters filled with information that is geared toward their interests. Providing this information makes customers trust you, like you, and want to buy from you.

Tip: Incorporate a human element in your email and it will increase your response rate. Your customer list is like your own fan club. They grow to like you. For example, you can intersperse your personality into your newsletters. This will result in your list anticipating each of your newsletters. If you miss sending a newsletter on time, your customer list will actually miss you.

Tip: You want to avoid inbox road kill. There is so much spam these days in your inbox. You have to set yourself apart from the crowd through your relationship. You have to create a relationship that makes your customer list excited to see your new email and/or newsletter in their email inbox.

If you build a relationship with your list subscribers then you will build a friendship. This friendship evokes loyalty. This loyalty prompts customers to buy from you instead of somebody else. People will actually go out their way to buy a product from you instead of your competition.

Another benefit of working on your relationship is that your customers will open up your emails and read them. They will take the time to read what you have to offer. They will white list your email address. They will trust you. All of these factors lead to increased sales from the same customers. You will earn long term sales instead of just a one shot sale.

Yet another benefit of building a relationship with your customers is that you personalize the marketing process. People automatically put up walls when they encounter marketers. We are taught that marketing is impersonal. Email marketing breaks this theory apart because email marketing is personal. People desire this personal touch. They will feel that you are taking the time to connect with them on a personal basis which is far more powerful then impersonal marketing techniques. In essence, you are creating a fan club with your list.

“Want to know a secret about Internet business? Here are 4!”

Secret #1: Build a belief system. You have to believe that your product will bring in at least $300 per month. Don’t start off which an expectation of a huge profit. If you do then you will most likely be disappointed when you don’t achieve this goal. Start off with a lower profit goal.

Once you earn this goal then figure out how many products you need to sell to earn $3,000 per month. Then when you achieve that goal figure out how many products you have to sell to earn $30,000 per month. The key is to never be satisfied by how much you are earning each month.

You need to understand that you will not get rich with just one product. Think about the big Internet players. They don’t have just one product. They have a line of products. They realize that they have to develop a host of products that turn a decent profit each month on a consistent basis.

You should build a product that can stand the test of time. Don’t create a flavor of the month product because you will always have to develop the next new product. If you work this way you won’t be able to earn residual income and let go of your business. You will be trapped in a vicious cycle of product creation. Instead, focus on an information product and line of products that will sell far into the future.

Secret #2: Use public domain information. You can copy, paste, and sell public domain information. You can obtain public domain from the government. How? Go to http://www.google.com/unclesam. You can find all the information you ever wanted about the government.

For example, you can click on the “Grants” link. You will go to http://www.grants.gov/. This will give you information about all the government grants available. This is valuable information. Think about the guy on TV that wears the suit with questions marks who sells government grant information. You have access to the same information that he sells to people. You can take this information and turn it into your own product quickly. You can then sell it for a profit.

Tip: You can access a free government search engine at http://www.firstgov.gov/. There are several categories you can go to and find valuable information. You can download, use, and adapt this information into your own product for free. Why? This government information is in the public domain.

Secret #3: You don’t have to write your content. You can use public domain information. And/or you can record your thoughts onto a CD. You can sell the CD. You can also have a freelancer transcribe and format this information. This will let you sell a printed version of the product as well.

Secret #4: How do you market your product? Open up a Google AdWords account. Google AdWords enables you to create small ads that will appear in the search engines.

You should also set up a website and write an effective sales letter. You can have a freelancer create your website. Go to http://www.scriptlance.com/ or http://www.elance.com to find freelancers.

The Internet is not as difficult as you think. You can create a product in two to three days or sometimes in just a few hours.

“3 Small Secrets that can make a Huge Difference”

Following are three small secrets you can use in your Internet that make a big difference.

Secret #1: You want to have active hyperlinks in your emails. People are lazy. They won’t take the time to copy and paste an inactive link into their browser. You can ensure that you have provided an active link by putting a space in right after you type in the hyperlink. This may seem like a small tip, but it could be worth thousands of dollars in revenue.

Secret #2: What’s the first thing you have to have when you want to market online? The first thing you need is a product. You have to have a product to market whether it is yours or somebody else’s product.

Many people start off by promoting other people’s products through affiliate marketing. Then they create their own product in the future. This is one way to enter the Internet market, but it won’t earn you the most money. Why? If you are affiliate then you won’t earn as much money as the person whose product you are selling.

Affiliate marketing is great for supplemental income. However, if you want your primary income to come from your Internet business then you need to sell your own product. You can also have affiliates work for you.

If you market your own product then you will make 100% of the products. Creating and selling your product will take you more time, energy, and money to get started. However, these upfront issues will be overcome quickly when you earn all the cash and not have to give any of it away.

This is incorrect. You have to use the same skills that you used before.

What are some skills that you still need to use online? You still need to market your product, satisfy your customers, and build a system just to name a few. You should also seek out what customers want and give it to them. People always crave information.

Brainstorm and think about your past experience and knowledge. Do you have information that other people need? Can you write a manual that will help people? For example, can you write a manual that helps people set the timer on their VCR? You can search the Internet to find out what topics people are searching for. You can combine this demand with your background to provide an informational product.

There may be information and tasks that you take for granted, but other people don’t understand. For example, you may know how to set up a computer and connect it to the Internet, but many people don’t. You can create training material that helps these people do it on their own. The options on things you can teach are endless.

“Your email deliverability rate can zap your profits!”

Do you have email that doesn’t get to the intended people on your list? Did you know that it is common to have up to 75% of your emails undeliverable? This usually occurs because your email has been blacklisted. You have to make sure that your email address is white listed by your customer list. If you don’t then your email will be considered spam and your email messages will never be delivered to many of your customers.

How can you fix the deliverability rate problem? First you have to determine which email addresses are not being delivered. How can you figure out how many email addresses are rejecting your emails? This enables you to plug in the domain names of your customers’ emails to find out which domains reject your emails. You can figure out what percentages of your emails get through and are delivered to the intended recipient properly.

How do undelivered emails affect your business? If a high percentage of your emails are being blocked then your business could be hemorrhaging a significant amount of profits. You could lose thousands or even millions of dollars.

What tool can you use to ensure that you have a high deliverability rate for your emails? A great company to work with is ARP3. You can find their tools at http://www.arp3.com. This company is a specialist in email Autoresponder messages. They can help you dramatically increase your email deliverability rate.

Tip: Be careful about what companies you use for your Internet business. Don’t flock to companies that try to be everything to anyone. These types of companies tend to be weak because they spread their services too thin. Instead, seek out companies that focus on one or just a few specific aspects.

There are two ways that enable you to make more money on the Internet.
#1: Increase traffic
#2: Increase conversion

Increasing traffic to your website is difficult because it has a language and environment all its own. For example, you have to understand the technical aspects. In addition, you may have keywords that are extremely popular and will spend too much time and money trying to gain the top search engine ranking.

Therefore, you should focus on increasing your sales conversion. If you increase this business number then your business will grow exponentially. How can you increase your sales conversion? You can increase your conversion rate using these five methods.

Increase Conversion Strategy #1: Put an opt-in box on the main page. This will help you build your list right away. Once people sign up for your list you can promote to them constantly. Don’t forget to provide valuable content as well.

Increase Conversion Strategy #2: On the sales letter you should have 9 to 12 links to the order form. This number of links has been shown to yield the highest sales conversion. It gives the customer plenty of chances to head to your order form and buy your product.

Increase Conversion Strategy #3: If the customer doesn’t buy your product then have a pop-up that asks them why they didn’t buy. This will enable you to find out why people didn’t buy your product. You can provide solutions to these reasons and turn people into buyers.

Increase Conversion Strategy #4: When the customer buys your product ask for an up sell. Why? You have already convinced the customer to buy one of your products so they are more prone to buy more of your products at that time. They have their credit card out and their wallet open. Use this environment to your benefit.

Increase Conversion Strategy #5: After they have bought your product or service then put an up sell offer on your thank you page. Don’t just provide a receipt and/or download on this page. Instead, you should provide offers of higher ticket items. Again, this is a great time because the customer has just purchased from you and is more likely to buy additional products at that time.

You can also place a survey on the thank you page. Ask people why they bought your product. Ask them what the single most important reason was regarding why they purchased your product today.

This customer product purchase information is worth its weight in gold because you can use it. You can learn not only about the mind of the customer and their rationale for buying your product, but to also use it as copy on your sales letter. These reasons should be at the top of your sales letter.

Tip: A great software program to use with the survey is the Ask Database system. It enables you to keep track of the survey responses.

Residual income enables you to earn money without spending extra time and energy working on your business. It is the kind of money you earn while you sleep, go on vacation, and do whatever you want. Residual income affords you the financial freedom you desire. The top Internet businesses recognize and stress the importance of residual income. They focus their energy and goals on obtaining residual income.

How can you earn residual income? You can earn residual income in a variety of manners. One method is to set up a membership site. The membership site charges a monthly fee to its members. For example, you can charge $97 per month to customers in exchange for access to a special website. You must provide them with monthly content so that they feel the monthly membership is worth it.

You can up sell to these members constantly. How? Include links and offers to higher ticket items in the content that you provide them. Since these customers are already interested in you and your products they will be much more likely to buy more from you.

You can also set up an affiliate program. You can have hundreds of even thousands of affiliates that are a marketing and selling army for you. Be sure that you motivate your affiliates to sell for you. You can accomplish this by providing incentives such as high commissions and prizes for affiliates that bring in the most business.

You can also set up a financing program for your products. Some customers will experience sticker shock and will not buy your product unless you provide a payment plan. For example, you may have a home study course that costs $600. If you only accept a lump sum payment of $600 then you will turn people away. Instead, you can also offer a monthly payment plan such as $50 per month. You will reel in many more customers this way.

Many people think that the payment plan will hurt their profits. This is not the case. Why? You only had to create the home study course once, so it doesn’t matter if people bought it through one lump sum payment or through a monthly payment plan. Either way you are getting the same amount of money for the product. The only difference is the time in which you get the money.

“Direct mail postcards: A million dollar idea.”

Direct response marketing techniques have been around for decades and for good reason. They work, plain and simple. How can you use direct mail postcards to earn money? Keep reading to find out.

Million Dollar Idea: “Direct mail postcards”.
This is not a new concept, but is still extremely effective. You can use this direct response marketing strategy to increase your network of contacts and joint venture partners.

When would you use the direct mail postcard? You can use this strategy when you attend seminars at which you wish to network. Your goal should be to make 5 to 10 contacts. It forces you to come out of your shell and meet people. You break bread and network.

However, most people don’t know how to talk to other people. They don’t know what to ask them and/or how to follow up. Read on to find out how to meet people, what to say to them, and how to follow up that will optimize your networking experience.

What questions should you ask other people when you attend seminars? There are three questions you need to ask these people.
1.) Who are you? Make sure that you ask for their business card at this point.
2.) Why are you here?
3.) Who is the ideal prospect for you?

Jot the answers to these questions on the back of their business card.

Bring 5 to 10 pre-stamped postcards. Before you leave the seminar, mail these postcards to people that you have just met at the seminar. This forces you to meet people. It forces you to follow up. Plus, people will be impressed that you followed up with them. You can create lucrative contacts and joint ventures using this direct mail postcard method.

Tip: Take your digital camera to seminars. You never know who you are going to meet. You can take pictures with people you meet, you know, and celebrities. You can also print those pictures out at a local drug store right away. Then you can give these pictures to people that you have just met, are trying to set up a joint venture with, or are simply an old friend. They will be impressed that you took the extra step to provide them with a picture. Plus, your picture will help them remember and recognize you.

What is the one major problem of Blogs for most people? Many people don’t post enough content on their Blog to make it worthwhile. Imagine a concept where your Blog content writes itself for you so you don’t have to worry about it. How can you accomplish this? You can use software to automatically write your content.

There is one type of content that people will never get mad at you for posting on your Blog. What is this type of content? Press Releases. This type of Blog content is great because it contains several keywords. You can use software that lets you type in the keywords you want on your Blog. The software will then search the press release websites for the appropriate press releases that have these keywords.

The software should allow you to decide how many words and paragraphs you want posted on your Blog. It will allow you to also post the entire article if you want to.

Why should you create an unlimited number Blogs? Blogs are very powerful. Search engines favor fresh content. The search engine will find your Blogs and raise your ranking. Plus, you can run Google AdSense programs on your Blogs. This will enable you to earn money from each Blog.

You can also write your own articles. If you don’t like to write, you can record your content. Have this content transcribed and formatted. You can outsource this article creation to freelancers.

Tip: Your Blog articles don’t have to be long. They can be around 200 words if you want. The key is to provide valuable content that your readers and customers would benefit from.

Tip: You can create an audio version of the Blog post. Provide a link in your Blog article that says “Click here to listen to this post”. This will impress readers because it shows that you have gone the extra mile to provide them with valuable content in a different format.

Tip: You can use audio generator software where you create podcasts. Your podcast will be automatically indexed in iTunes. The podcasts can be automatically generated into text content on your Blog that contains a link to your podcast.

“The two minute online website pitch”

All ideas are important, but if they are not implemented then they are meaningless. When you attend seminars and learn more about Internet businesses you have to participate. Your co-attendees are idea generators and teammates that you can utilize. Most people don’t take advantage of this face to face networking to the fullest extent. These are prime opportunities to create a million dollar idea with another peer.

Million Dollar Idea: “The Two Minute Online Website Pitch”.
Are you trying to meet a celebrity or famous so you can interview them? It is difficult to track them down, unless you are the paparazzi. Even if you do track them down it is extremely difficult to grab even two minutes of their time. The good news is that you can use the Internet to your advantage.

How can you use the Internet to catch the attention of these celebrities? Set up a website that called “Ask(their name)”. For example, “askbillclinton.com”. Have a two minute audio on the website that asks the celebrity for help. Explain that you want to do a tele-fundraiser with them. This allows the celebrity to visit your webpage and view your pitch on their time. Your pitch should be clean, brief, and of high audio quality.

How can you build off of this two minute online website pitch idea? You can create a viral audio postcard. The viral audio postcard can contain the two minute pitch. You can send this viral audio postcard all over the internet. You can use the postcard to keep track of who raised the most funds. A great way to accomplish this would be through a viral postcard affiliate program. You could build a huge, valuable list that is of value to both you and the celebrity.

Tip: You can utilize the viral audio postcard in any niche. For example, if you are a singer and want your song to spread throughout the Internet then a viral audio postcard works well. You can send your song for people to preview and get exposure.

“Million Dollar Idea: The Learn Pod”

Million dollar Idea: The concept of the “Learn pod”. This is a preloaded iPod or Zen. It can be any type of media player that is preloaded. You can give the iPod away for free, but sell the content that is on the iPod. You can have a play list of all your audio content already on the iPod. This audio content would be the “best of” series of your audio.

What can you download onto the iPod? You can download your teleseminars, audio CDs, recorded seminars, etc. The list is endless. You can download all your audio content if you want to.

What do I do with the preloaded iPod? Shrink wrap the iPod and put it in nice packaging. The packaging should have a picture of you on it, along with your brand identity.

How do I sell the information that is preloaded on the iPod? You explain that the iPod is free and that people will pay for the content that is already preloaded onto the iPod for them. Explain that this saves them a hassle of buying all the CDs, teleseminars, and other audio content separately. Plus, you can include one year of free iPod updates.

How can I make more money from this preloaded iPod? You can sell accompanying text and video materials. You can sell new content in the future. You can up sell through your audios that they listen to on the iPod.

You can provide a robust amount of content by using public domain information. You can snag public domain information for free. IPods can read text files. So you can take a public domain work from Project Gutenberg, download it for free as a text file, upload it to your server, and then sell the text file to your iPod customer. These customers will often buy several text file books at once. You will have a huge directory of information that they can purchase a la carte.

You can make even more money by taking this public domain information and wrapping your own content around it. You can intersperse your experience, tips, and tricks within the content. You can sell this as a text file. You can also simply read this information and record the audio. This will let you sell the content as an audio. People will pay more for an audio version. So you can earn even more money from the same information. You could literally create your own library of text files and audio books.

Yet another idea with public domain information is to create several branches from one concept. Let’s say that you have the public domain information for “The Art of War”. You could sell just the main text, but you can also create sub branches of this original concept. For example, you could create “The Art of War for Golfers” or “The Art of War for Teachers”, and so on. Think of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. It is a similar concept.

Guess what? The million dollar idea is not over yet. You could also interview experts in the field that your text and/or audio content are about. You can earn credibility through this association. You can create a la carte products that people can buy and download to their iPod. These interviews will enhance your content and please your customers.

What are the benefits of the “Learn Pod” concept? The benefits are numerous. All of your audio content will be in one place, the iPod. Customers can purchase audio content in the future easily. They can simply download new content to their iPod. Plus, many people want an iPod and this is a great way for them to get a good deal.

“Have an Internet business? Follow this advice.”

Here’s advice that every Internet entrepreneur should follow…

You have to make an investment in yourself and the business. You have to give your energy and money to the business. You should go towards your business 100%. Learn from your failures, make adjustments, and keep pressing forward. Your mindset should focus on making money and succeeding. Focus on your achievements, no matter how small, and celebrate the little successes alone the way. You should view your Internet business as an adventure that will be fun, profitable, and lucrative.

75% of people already know what they are supposed to do in order to make an Internet business earn big money. However, these people don’t do what they are supposed to do because they don’t feel like they can’t do it, that they aren’t worth it, and that they don’t have the time. All of these excuses are invalid. If you want something bad enough, you will make the time. You have to figure out what you are willing to exchange in order to accomplish your Internet business goals. You have to exchange time, money, or both.

You can’t transform yourself overnight. You have to take small steps and celebrate each accomplishment no matter how small it may be. Don’t compare yourself to others that are at high levels of Internet business triumph. Why not? These Internet entrepreneurs most likely have taken years to get to where they are now. It didn’t happen for them over night. So don’t compare yourself to them. Instead, focus on yourself and your small measures of consistent success.

Accept where you are. Don’t ride the “why me” train. This means that you can’t constantly ask why you aren’t doing well and everybody else is. You have to figure out how to make a change. Ask yourself, what is one thing I can do now that will bring me closer to my objective? This task can be small. If you are persistent and finish small tasks on a consistent basis then you will meet your goals.

An Internet business is similar to a brick mortar business in that it is not all sunshine and roses.

While the Internet does make starting a business and earning money a reality for many, you will still face roadblocks along the way. The good news is that there are solutions to these common Internet business problems. Read on to find out two common problems and how you can fix them.

What are two of the biggest problems that people have on the Internet in the small business market?

Problem #1: Many people are delusional as far as how much money can be made on the Internet quickly. It is very different when you are a newbie versus an Internet business that has established a track record, credibility, and experience. In the beginning making money online can be a slow process. You have to build your business day by day.

Too many Internet business newbies give up after they don’t achieve big money right away. They don’t realize that it takes time. Remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Have the mindset that your Internet business success will take time. If you are in it for the long haul then you will have a much better chance of obtaining this level of achievement.

Problem #2: People new to the Internet tend to be cheap. They don’t invest in products, learning, and tools that they need. They don’t take the risk that will reap rewards in the long term instead of the short term. Successful Internet businesses, on the other hand, recognize that you have to take risks. They know that not everything has a guarantee. They are willing to accept this risk in order to receive a greater reward.

Don’t play defense. If you do then you decrease the odds of being successful. If you are proactive and play from an offensive perspective then the probability of successful will be stacked in your favor. You have to be positive and realize that you are in it for the long haul.

You know you will face obstacles, but you will view them as opportunities, learn from them, and grow from them.

There are certain times in your life that you will have the right tools, the right coach, and the right environment, but you don’t know what to do. You still can’t see how to proceed. You may be confused, fearful, or unaware of the next step.

No matter what is stopping you, you have to take a next step. If you are overwhelmed you can do one small step that moves you forward. You may not like to do certain things, but you have to get over it and face the tasks. Once you do, you will become one step closer to success.

We tend to adopt the strategies and thinking of the people that we look up to. We tend to take on their success level. For awhile this can be great, but then it levels off when you achieve the same level as the person you looked up to. This means that you have to find people that are even more successful to take your business to the next level.

If you want to break the financial barriers then it takes it a completely different mind set and thinking process. This thinking process is never fixed. You should never be happy with the status quo and the way things are. If you want to rise up you have to constantly want to improve and grow. You can’t settle for a certain level or plateau.

Too often entrepreneurs focus on the areas that they are already doing well. This will stunt their overall growth. You have to break the pattern of the way you are thinking. You have to have dynamic patterns that keep you rising to the top instead of hanging out on the plateaus.

Another problem is that most entrepreneurs have not developed a system. Without a system you can’t track your progress and figure out what has worked and what hasn’t. You won’t know if you have accomplished your goals because you didn’t craft them in the first place. A system enables you to examine your business with a fine tooth comb to determine what works and what doesn’t. Otherwise you will be running around the Internet business world in aimless circles.

Repetition is the mother of learning. You should read books and notes from seminars over and over because you will catch new details each time. Think about movies that you watch. If you watch a movie a second and/or third time you will find that you notice details you didn’t notice the first time you watched the movie. This applies to learning for your Internet business.

“5 Proven Time Management Strategies”

Let’s talk about time management. This can be tricky, confusing, and difficult for many people. Time management is about having the right number of tasks, doing the right tasks, and protecting yourself from distractions.

What strategies can you do to get more control over your time?

Time Management Strategy #1: Sit down every morning and write down the tasks that you absolutely have to get done for that day. Use a small piece of paper because this is better psychologically.

After you have written down the tasks, examine them. Are they tasks or projects? For example, create an Autoresponder campaign is a project because it has multiple things that have to be done. So instead you have to break down this project into tasks. Your list should contain tasks only. You should be able to check these tasks off as completed or not completed.

Also next to each task write down how long you think it will take to complete the task. Look at how much time you have available. This will enable you to know right from the start whether or not you wrote down too many tasks. If you have too many tasks and not enough time then you will become stressed out. Avoid this by planning your tasks accordingly.

Time Management Strategy #2: Block out the distractions. Physically write down in your calendar the time you are going to work on your tasks. Treat this time as an appointment with yourself that you can’t break. If somebody calls and wants to do something during this time then explain that you are unavailable because you have an appointment. It doesn’t matter that the time is with yourself. You have to respect yourself.

Tip: Don’t answer the phone or even look at the caller ID when you are working in your scheduled time. Turn off the phone ringer and turn on voicemail. You can schedule breaks in which you check your messages, stretch, and recoup.

Time Management Strategy #3: Restructure your habits as to what you have been accustomed to. Change your habits to writing your list in the morning and planning your time.

Time Management Strategy #4: Don’t multitask. Focus on one task at a time. You will be more efficient. You will accomplish the tasks faster individually then if you worked on the tasks simultaneously.

Time Management Strategy #5: Know thy self. You know how long you can focus on a particular task. You know when your interest and energy wanes. Learn to identify these times and work on a different task to keep you motivated and interested.

“Successful people are scaredy cats!”

What is the biggest thing that people fear about building their Internet business? Entrepreneurs in general have the fear of success and the fear of failure. We are all born with two fears which include the fear of falling and fear of loud noises. Every other fear was made up by our own minds. We spend too much time worrying about the fear.

Successful people have more fear than unsuccessful people, but that’s what it’s all about. Successful entrepreneurs rise above this fear and actually benefit from it. If they make a mistake, they don’t dwell on it. Instead, they learn from their mistake and move on. You should acknowledge your fear, but not dwell on it. If you try to push your fear away you will think about it even more. Instead, embrace the fear and then quickly move on to action. Action will usually relieve your fear.

One way to overcome fear is to use a coach or mentor. How important are coaches and mentors to Internet business owners? There are three major reasons why people fail that often occur when they don’t have a coach or mentor.

People fail because of these three major reasons:
1.) Lack of entrepreneurial training.
2.) Lack coaching and mentoring
3.) Lack of chance for peer to peer networking

Coaches and mentors are a fast, efficient way to advance. They will help you through tough times. They will help you to learn what you need to know. They will act as a guide. They will point out things that you didn’t know that you didn’t know. It is extremely difficult to go it alone and a coach/mentor can be the just the helping hand you need.

The lesson is to get over your ego. If you want enjoy the short cuts then a coach is for you. If you don’t like to work alone then a coach is for you. You can learn from their experience. You can work together in a mastermind group. You can leap over your competition if you use this powerful tool.

Think about your grade school for a moment. It was ingrained in our heads that we were supposed to do everything ourselves. We had to learn the information ourselves. This is not true in the real world. In the real world you don’t have to do it yourself because you can buy your way into the Internet business world. Buying your way in means that you spend money on coaches, mentors, and seminars that will provide you with the help and information you need. In addition, you can outsource tasks to save your time and earn you more money then you ever thought possible.

“Don’t let these 4 crumbling business factors sink your business”

What are four factors that cause many Internet businesses to fail? Why do certain Internet businesses crumble while others take the cake? Read on to find out four factors that can make or break your Internet business.

Crumbling Business Factor #1.) Lack of focus. You are looking for opportunities and tactics. You become swamped in the different strategies you can do. You have analysis paralysis. You do nothing because you don’t know what to do. You float from one half-finished project to another. It is a viscous cycle that doesn’t get you anywhere.

Every strategy has the potential to work, but you have to find one that suits your needs. Remember, not all strategies work the same for everyone. One Internet entrepreneur may have great success with a strategy that doesn’t work for you. Find the strategies that work for you and that you like. Then maximize the benefits of these proven strategies.

Crumbling Business Factor #2.) A decision is made on something, but they don’t know how to do it. For example, you may try pay-per-click advertising without figuring out how to accomplish it successfully. So instead of doing the research and learning how to do it, you quit when this strategy doesn’t work right away. You have to stay motivated to stick with your Internet business and work to make it grow.

Crumbling Business Factor #3.) Lack of interest in doing the work. You can’t just put up a website and expect the sales to roll in while you watch soap operas. You have to learn and implement all the strategies you can to earn your first sale and every sale afterwards. You have to be proactive and seek out ways to improve your Internet business. You should set up and follow a system for your Internet business that is needed and will help you achieve your goals.

Crumbling Business Factor #4.) Lack of credibility. You have to earn credibility if you want to build your Internet business and earn customers. You have to demonstrate your knowledge and how you can help people. You have to tell and show people why they should believe you. If you don’t establish credibility then your Internet business will go stale or even sink.

Watch out for these crumbling business factors and don’t let them happen to you.

“Do you have a plan for your Internet business?”

Earning your first sale is exciting. The Internet has allowed many entrepreneurs to feel the excitement of their first sale relatively quickly. Entrepreneurs should be careful, though, because this excitement can often lead to mistakes if you aren’t careful or don’t know what you are doing. On the other hand, you can also earn success through accidents. Your mistakes may turn into lessons that help you generate a profit farther in the future.

Some people cause this beginner’s luck. However, the main point is that these people took action. They didn’t just think about an Internet business. They didn’t sit back. They didn’t get rich by trading time for dollars because this is the same as a salaried job. These accidental Internet millionaires came to realize that they can leverage their experience, education, and Internet business know-how to earn money like a true entrepreneur. They make money not by trading time for dollars, but by making residual income through multiple streams of income.

Do you find yourself reading book after book on Internet businesses? Do you travel from seminar to seminar always in search of more information? Do you feel that you can’t quite get enough information? This may be a form of procrastination that can hold you back. Too much information can be debilitating in that you don’t take action on your actual Internet business.

One mistake that can result from the procrastination and lack of knowledge is the lack of a business plan for your Internet business. How important is a business plan for your Internet business? It is crucial. Why? Before you engage in your Internet business you should think about what you want to accomplish. What goals do you have? What results do you want achieve? What strategies are you going to use to achieve these goals? Taking into account these plans is critical. Planning enables you to monitor your progress and head toward your goals instead of flying off in a million directions.

Most entrepreneurs are highly creative. This does not mean that they are logical. You may be an “idea” person. You have tons of ideas in mind, but these ideas take you down the wrong path. A successful entrepreneur has to incorporate logic by breaking down their ideas and goals into small chunks. This helps you actually follow through on your ideas as opposed to just generating one idea after another.

Is your Internet business failing, distracted, and not achieving the goals that you desire? Before you point your finger at your partners and employees, take a good look at yourself in the mirror. Find out if your lack of business plan and/or procrastination is your fault. If you answer honestly you will realize it is and take action to remedy the situation.

One of the most powerful ways to use the Internet is to use it in a dual role manner. Use the Internet for everything it is worth. You can also make money offline through following up with the people that purchased your products online. The dual online and offline role will earn you far more cash then either way on its own. This success occurs because you have established a relationship with your list of customers.

So what are some ways or tips you can employ when using the Internet in both an online and offline manner? Read on for 4 tips that you can use in the both the offline and online arenas. Utilizing these tips can strengthen your Internet business and earn you more money.

Offline and Online Tip #1: Long copy sells better than short copy. You can put long copy on your website at a far cheaper rate than in the paper version. So you can use a 12 page paper sales letter which directs people to your website. On the website you can use as many graphics and webpages as you want to sell people on your product and/or service.

Offline and Online Tip #2: You don’t have to know every single aspect of Internet marketing. Instead, you can find people that will help you with the aspects you are uncomfortable with or don’t know much about. For example, you may know how to write copy, but you don’t know much about the technical aspects of a website. You can outsource the task of building your Internet business website to a tech savvy person.

“Mastermind Principles for Internet Businesses”

If your run an Internet business then you need to know these mastermind principles and the ins and outs of Internet marketing.

Mastermind principles every Internet business owner should know:

1. You have to associate with the right people. You have to listen to successful mentors that know what they are doing. Your success will skyrocket if you do business with and learn from successful Internet entrepreneurs.

2. There is a formula of success. Follow the steps of the formula and you will be successful.

3. Multiply your wealth and compound it.

4. Write down your goals.

Check out this 1951 Harvard Business School Study – Of the business school graduates they found that only 3% had written goals and had a plan to achieve them. They followed the graduates through out their lives. They found that the graduates who had written goals were much more successful financially then the other 97% that didn’t write goals. The graduates that wrote their goals were worth $16 million dollars each as opposed to the other 97% that were worth only $15,000 each.

Napoleon Hill’s Famous Formula for Goals:

Write:

1. “I am so happy that _______________”.
Fill in the blank with your goal. For example, I am so happy that I am earning millions of dollars on the Internet. Write down a date as well to give you a timeframe goal. For example, I am so glad that I was on Oprah promoting my million dollar business by June 25, 2010.

2. Take action. Everybody has things that they know they should do, but they don’t. They don’t accomplish these tasks out of laziness and/or fear. Write these tasks and activities down. Make sure to read what you have written so that you take action. Write down your wishes and your dream will come true.

Now let’s take a look at Internet marketing. Internet marketing is the ultimate direct response marketing venue. Internet marketing is another medium that you can use in direct marketing.

The five advantages of Internet marketing include:

1. The cost is 0 dollars. You can market for free.

2. Speed. Your email marketing can arrive instantly.

3. The reach. You can reach a global market, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

4. A webpage can stay up forever. You don’t throw it away, you just update it.

5. The Internet allows you to automate a great deal of your business processes. In traditional direct response marketing you have to physically create and mail out marketing materials. In Internet marketing you can use Autoresponders and other automatic software programs that involve no extra work on your part.
