“The NET- Marketing System – Step Two”

Remember, the 3 Step Net-marketing System:

N – Niche

E – Expert

T – Target

Let’s look at the second step.

Step #2: Establish yourself as an expert in that niche. Learn everything you possibly can about your niche. Know the audience. Know their problems. Know the competition. Become an authority within your niche. Read everything you can about your niche. Discover and create solutions to their problems. Focus on the problems. Focus on how you can solve these problems.

Attend meetings, seminars, and talk to people on the phone that are in your niche. The more you practice these skills, the easier it will become and the more you will become. Be generous and be helpful. People will be more apt to help you if you provide reciprocal services and establish a relationship.

How do you create your product? First make sure you have done the research and have identified the problems in your niche. Speak with other experts in your niche. Interview them and record the interviews. Complete market research about products already available on the market.

You can create an eBook from these interviews and market research. You can turn these interviews into CDs and home study courses as well. Essentially, you can provide informational products that can be presented in a wide variety of formats.

Tip: Don’t be shy. Get out there and meet people in person or talk to them on the phone.

Once you create your product than it’s time to get testimonials. You want people to try your product and give their comments on it. Testimonials are powerful marketing tools that will convince future customers to buy your products. Testimonials build credibility. Testimonials can be created for any niche out there. Don’t skip testimonials otherwise you will lose out on thousands or even millions dollars of profit.

You can approach people for testimonials through the phone, snail mail, and email. You can meet them at seminars and conferences. You should ask experts in the niche as well as a typical customer.

What should you say in the testimonial request? Ask them if you could send them your product and if they could use it and provide a testimonial.

Also, while you are working on acquiring testimonials, you can create your website.

Also, spend time answering questions in the newsgroup for your niche. Be generous about answering questions, but do not just tell people to go to your website. If you only advertise your website then you will be kicked out of the newsgroup. The purpose of the newsgroup is not to be an advertising board, but to provide free information and discussion about your niche. However, you can include a link to your website after your name. Just make sure to carefully read the rules of the newsgroup to ensure that you are following them properly.

Matt Bacak

“The NET- Marketing System – Step One”

The Internet is a communication vehicle that lets you expose your products and services to people all over the globe in a split second.

You can write a book using voice recognition software. A great resource is Dragon Naturally Speaking. You have to train the software to recognize your voice. This is a quick way to write a book without doing any typing except for minor editing.

How can you add value to your book? There are a few options:
1. You can buy mailing lists from various resources on the Internet. You can find lists from joint venture partners and various websites. Different lists can bring you more topic ideas that you can add to your book. For example, you can target different age groups in your book. Lists can also help you create a list of tips for success to put in your book.

How do you promote your book and/or Internet business? Use this 3 Step Net-marketing System:
N – Niche
E – Expert
T – Target

Step #1: Select your niche. Look at your background. What experiences have you had? What do you know about? If you don’t have many experiences you can find a niche that you are interested in. You can determine this by examining the areas of your life where you feel joy and want to spend time doing. For example, do you find yourself playing sports all the time? Do you find yourself collecting antiques? This may be your niche.

Don’t limit yourself by believing that you won’t succeed in your niche. Also don’t discount the value of your niche. Everybody has a different niche preference and one niche is not more valuable than the other.

Need more help determining your niche? Go to http://www.wordtracker.com. You can find out what keywords are searched most frequently on the Internet. This can help you find a popular niche that fits in with your preference. It is a great place to start and use even if you know your niche. You may find that you like one or more niches.

Another great resource is http://www.overture.com. You can find the popular keywords and listing of niches in which you can run your online business. There are so many niches available that you are bound to find a niche that suits your needs.

Tip: Avoid niches that are extremely popular or extremely obscure. This way you can avoid too much competition and too little demand. Following this tip will increase your chances of success and earning maximum profit.

Validate your niche in both the online and offline world. How popular and lucrative is your niche in these two arenas? You want to find a niche that is successful both online and offline. This will give you more chances to earn the most money and guarantee that you have a robust audience ready and willing to buy your products or services.

Tip: Go to Google.com and click on “Group”. Find the newsgroups on Google Groups that shows where your niche communicates with each other online. If there is not a newsgroup for your niche than it may not be a viable niche. Read the posts in these groups to find out what problems people in this niche have. You can create products and services that provide solutions to these problems.

Tip: Take time to plan out your game plan for your niche. Write short term and long term goals. Determine how long it will take you to create your product. Determine how long you will run the business if obstacles come your way. Take action now and write these down. If you don’t write down your goals, they are simply a wish or dream.

“6 Tips to Consider before you flip a Website”

Here’s the situation. You have heard about flipping websites by buying a lousy website, fixing it up, and selling it to earn a profit. You’ve learned that it’s similar to flipping a property in the real estate industry, but far less work. You know that you have to clean up the copy on the website and have a buyer in mind even before you purchase the website. However, don’t get too excited and buy the first website you come across.

Instead, before you buy a website make sure you…

1. Verify income through merchant statements, etc.

2. Make sure the website is in a good niche, but it just has a lousy website. You can fix the website and earn more.

3. You should be willing to pay 4-6 months of net profits for the website. Figure out the return on investment per month.

4. You can find these websites to buy and sell EBay (http://www.ebay.com). Choose the “Business and Industrial” category. Look for “Businesses for Sale” → “Websites for sale”. Be careful, 90-95% of these websites are garbage because they are just template, clone sites. Never buy a template or clone site as it has no value.

5. When you negotiate the price you may encounter an unrealistic price or on the other hand you’ll have a reasonable price, but need a little negotiation. You should take a negotiation course to help you negotiate the deal. Try Roger Dawson’s negotiation course “Secrets of Power Negotiating” for help.

Tip: Use the seven magic words of power which include: “What’s the lowest price you will take?”

6. Only look at the websites that are offered for over $1,000. Also look for auctions that have ended and had no bids. Call the business owner and ask if you can still buy the business. You can usually get a cheaper price if you do this.

So take these six tips into account before you jump on the bandwagon of flipping websites. You’ll be glad you took the time to evaluate your purchase and earn the most money possible.

FREE Download I promised (on Thanksgiving)

On Thanksgiving Day I emailed and said that I had a file on my computer I wanted to send to you for Thanksgiving...

Well, I'm back home and have put the file up so you can grab it.

This is not your typical how-to stuff. This is hardcore stuff only a few savvy marketers *might* know...

Go here and get the download:

http://www.promotingtips.com/freedownload.htm

It's a digital copy of "The InternetMarketing Dirt" newsletter where I update my Dirt subscribers of things I'm doing that month.

Here's how I put the content together...

Every month when I come up with new strategies and techniques to accelerate my business on the internet. After I put them into action then write exactly what I am doing into a file called the Dirt and that then becomes the content inside my next 'Internet Marketing Dirt' issue.

Go here and grab a digital back issue:

http://www.promotingtips.com/freedownload.htm

It's usually $30 a back issue butfor you right now - it's a whopping ZERO dollars for this digital issue.

But, I wouldn't wait around and try togo back to this page later because I will take down this location in a few days.

Better Hurry. Grab your copy now:

http://www.promotingtips.com/freedownload.htm

Best Regards,

Matt Bacak

P.S. To get the digital download for free before I take this down, I'd recommend going here Right

“Flip that Website!”

You can purchase lousy websites for hardly any money at all. These websites might have a decent product, but bad copywriting and/or the original owner didn’t know how to run the business effectively. You can take over the reprints rights and copyright for this business and use top notch Internet marketing skills to earn more money.

When you buy a website, you will also have to transfer over the domain name. It can take a few weeks, unless you pay a fee and it will happen much quicker.

What was the risk of buying this website? There wasn’t any risk because the website was already making money. You can verify this by finding the actual sales. For example, if they have a Clickbank account you can ask to login to their Clickbank account and see their sales numbers. You can also check out their sales receipts.

Basically, you find a website that is making money, but the owner of the website is motivated to sell it. You buy the website and then sell it to somebody else who wants to make even more money with it. It is very similar to flipping houses in the real estate industry.

So once you buy the lousy website then you need to redesign it and rewrite the copy. This is similar to making improvements on a real estate property.

Tip: When you sell your website, sell it as a package. Make it a complete business in a box. For example, sell your computers with software already installed on them and include the customer’s files. Sell any tools that you need for the business. This will increase the selling price and earn you more money.

Tip: Sell items that people want to buy in a market that doesn’t have much competition. Use Internet marketing techniques to sell the items. You can always sell more or different items on the Internet in the future.

Tip: Go to http://ww.wordtracker.com to find out what people are searching for on the Internet each week. What they search changes throughout the week and year. For example, science fair projects may be searched for more in the spring. This can help you find websites to flip.

“Do you know the most critical key to success in today’s world?”

The difference between success and failure online can be one tiny, little tweak. You have to have the right mindset to be successful online.

You may have noticed that many websites offer information that won’t actually work in the real world. You can fix up and sell these websites through arbitrage. Arbitrage means to make a transaction with no risk. As long as there is no risk, you are willing to accept the transaction.

You can eliminate risk if you sell an item first and then buy it. For example, you can find out how much a piece of real estate costs. Then find out how much people are willing to pay for this piece of real estate. This allows you to sell the item and then buy it.

In Internet marketing the major risk involves information. There is a learning curve. It takes you much longer to set up your first website than your tenth website. The difficulty in the beginning prevents many people from taking action. They perceive a risk of starting up, but when they complete the first transaction they realize it is not as risky as they thought.

It is always more valuable to know how to “sell” a product or service compared to knowing “about” a product or service. Stop working in your business and instead work on your business.

Do you know people that are experts in certain areas, but they make no money? Think about PhDs and highly skilled technical people that don’t make a dime. On the other hand there are marketers that may not have the academic expertise, but make loads of cash. Therefore, knowing how to be a great Internet marketer is the key skill you need to know in our world today in order to make massive income.

Becoming a successful Internet marketer is not an overnight occasion. You have to put in the time and effort. Too many people believe that the Internet will make you money instantly. If you understand that it can take some time to earn money, such as few months, you will be better prepared for the Internet marketing world.

Tip: On the Internet there is unlimited wealth waiting to be tapped as long as you understand Internet marketing.

Matt Bacak

Matt Bacak answers - What to do with no list, no experience question

I was recently asked "What would I do if I had
no list, no experience or no product to make money
online" here is my answer in my podcast:

To hear Matt Bacak's answer ---> Click Here <---

This is Brought to you by, Matt Bacak - Internet
Marketing Expert and Internet Millioniare

“Triple your Opt-In List in 99 Days – Part II”

Following are steps 8 -17 that will triple your opt-in list in 99 days:

Step #8: How to utilize your website traffic to build your list.
- You can split up the sign up forms on your website.
- You can add a pop up box.
- Auto-subscribing to your list by clicking twice on an opt-in box is much easier than having people type in their information. Why? They may mistype their information.

Step #9: How to make even more money from your list. This is where you start the sales process at a higher level. A small percentage of your subscriber list will actually buy so you need to…
1. Increase the number of customers.
2. Increase the amount of purchase at the time of transaction.
3. Increase the chances of the customers coming back.

In other words, sell to more people at a higher amount more often.

Tip: Maximize the traffic by up selling at the time of purchase. Think of McDonald’s – Do you want fries with that?

Tip: Get people to come back to you by sending follow up emails in an Autoresponder sequence.

Step #10: How to acquire subscribers for free. Use an ezine directory and announcement list. You can accomplish this manually or use programs that will automate this process for you.

Step #11: It is better to use a subscribe email link instead of a URL. This enables you to capture the website visitor right away.

You can also build your list for free by using a signature file. A signature file is composed of the 4-6 lines at the bottom of the email. You can include your contact information and your unique selling proposition.

You can also use http://www.listpartners.com where you can acquire the subscribers through word of mouth. You can give awards to these partners such as free advertising on your website.

You can also display testimonials that give you credibility and spread your product and service across the Internet.

Step #12: How to build your profits when you are building your list:
This can be accomplished in 3 ways:
1. Ezine ads and solo ads which are instant.
2. Pay-per-click ads in the search engines. http://www.paidperclicksearchengines.com
3. Convert visitors into email subscribers by using a pop up box. A pop up box will significantly increase the subscriber conversion.

Step #13: How to build your list through competition and co-registration.
This is cooperation with your competitor by building your list. You work with your competitor not against them.

Co-registration involves registering for complementary products during list sign up. You can recommend complementary websites and products in your thank you page. You can also go with the pay subscriber list. Good resource: http://www.listbuilder.com and http://www.worldwidelist.com.

Step #14: Create competition by fusing. Fusing is a collaborative marketing alliance with one or more business which will help you market your business while you market their business. This is also known as a joint venture.

Step #15: Attract subscribers through syndication of articles. This is viral marketing. You can have your articles appear all over the Internet in no time flat.

Step #16: Decrease your advertising cost while increasing your market research. You can accomplish this by buying subscribers in a pool of other marketers. You work together to build your lists.

Step #17: Build your list through an affiliate program. This enables you to have access to the lists of other marketers. Engage in super affiliate marketing. Build a relationship with your list and then complete a joint venture offer with somebody else in your niche that is successful.

Tip: Follow the steps in the order in which they are presented. If you jump ahead you will encounter many obstacles so stick with the order of this proven list building system.

“Triple your Opt-In List in 99 Days – Part I”

How to build and triple your opt-in subscriber list in 99 days or less:

Step #1: Start with your passion. Use the “PIE” principle which is passion, interest, and expertise. You don’t have to be super fast or super smart to succeed in the world; you just have to be one step above the middle ground. This small increment will set you apart and on the road to success.

Step #2: Engage in market research. Go to Google and http://www.goodkeywords.com and http://www.wordtracker.com is a resource that will help you find information about niche.

Step #4: Name your list and make sure it is relevant to your product and niche.

Step #5: Write an attention grabbing tagline. This provides your unique selling proposition in your niche. Not sure how to write this? Think of 5-6 words that are beneficial in context and relate to your niche. These 5-6 words may be just want you need to create your tagline.

Tip: A short tagline is preferred at 7-10 words in length. Your tagline should demonstrate why your product or service is unique. Also make sure to convey that your product or service is the only solution to the customer’s problem so that they will automatically choose your product or service over your competitors.

Step #6: You have to capture the attention of your target market. You can accomplish this by writing a 15-30 description of the benefits of your product.

Tip: Your goal is to convert leads and prospects into paying customers.

Step #7: The fortune is in the follow up. You can follow up in a variety of manners. An example is to send a newsletter. Another example is to have an Autoresponder that sends follow up emails on a specific schedule. You can also send updates and announcement emails to your list as a means of follow up.

Tip: Autoresponder sequence.

Introduce yourself. Your customers need to know you, like you, and trust you in order to buy from you.

“The Nuts and Bolts of Internet Marketing and Opt-In Lists”

There are 5 Basic Steps of Internet Marketing which include:

Step #1: Discover and sell what you are passionate about. What is your mission in life? You need to determine this because you are more apt to be successful if you work in an industry and/or niche that you feel passionate about. Find something that you can see yourself doing for several years down the road. Your passion will help you achieve success over any obstacles that may come your way.

Tip: Your business exists to support you…you don’t exist to support your business.

Step #2: Target your marketing to a niche market. Get rich in your niche.

Step #3: Find a lead product or products that your target market desires. Create low cost products under $100.

Step #4: Build and develop your own profit pipeline. You want to have a wealth funnel. This helps you maximize the amount of profit you can earn from your entire business. Profit pipeline is when you find leads and introduce them to your product through promotion and at the end of your pipeline you earn profit.

Step #5: Up sell your customers with your medium cost and high profit backend products. High ticket products are those that are $500 or higher. You only need to sell a few high ticket items to make as much or more than selling a bunch of low ticket items. Therefore, strive to sell these high ticket backend items.

Benefits of own opt-in list:

1. Builds your credibility in your niche market.

2. Builds a relationship with a large number of people. You use technology to build human relationship. In other words, you use your website to grab their attention and you talk to them on the phone to create a human component of your relationship.

3. You can convert subscribers into buyers more often than just having a list of readers.

4. You earn more money through multiple streams of income that incorporate your list.

5. You insure monthly income as long as you provide pertinent content and offers.

6. You can engage in free, instant market research by surveying your list. For example, your survey can help you create a product that your customers want.

7. You are able to promote others through joint ventures. For example, you can promote their book on Amazon to your list.

8. You have a massive amount of people that you can interact with and brainstorm with everyday.

“The First Step to Building an Opt-In List”

Who do you listen to when it comes to your Internet business? Would you listen to an Internet entrepreneur that tripled his opt-in list in less than 90 days? Of course you would! Especially, since he built a list of over 102,000 people.

How did he do this? He knew that success leaves clues. So he found out who was the most successful in Internet business and wanted to model them. He researched this area and field tested his techniques. From this process arose his 12 step formula for building a list.

The power of his list is amazing. You can triple the number of subscribers on your list and double your income in 99 days. If you know the steps of building a list then you can accomplish this feat sooner and easier than you realize.

What is an opt-in list? It is a contact list of subscribers, leads, and prospects.

Having your own list is extremely valuable. Basically, your money is in your list. Plus, your relationship with your customer list is the basis of where your profits will come from.

So how do you build an opt-in list? First, let’s talk about the two golden rules of opt-in lists.

Two golden rules of lists:

1. He/she who has the list makes the rules.

2. He/she who makes the list gets the gold.

You need to build your list as fast as you possibly can to maximize your profit. Why? When you have a robust subscriber list you can constantly sell to them. In fact, you can make thousands and thousands of dollars in merely 3 days if you have an extensive subscriber list. The sky is the limit.

Tip: You don’t have to have a huge list to make a lot of money. The key is to have a quality list. If you have a small list that is full of active buyers than you can often make much more than if you have a large list with fewer buyers.

Building your list is difficult if you don’t have a system. You need a proven system that is easy to understand and implement. Following is a step-by-step system you can use to triple the size of your list in 99 days or less.

The first step is to survey your customers. Ask your customers what their biggest problem is right now. Then create a product or service that provides a solution for that problem.

Matt Bacak

“6 More Tips to Make Money from your Customer List”

6 more ways to make money from your list:
1. Give away free items to earn profits on the back end.
An example is to give away a free eBook in the beginning. Then at the end of the content of the eBook, it offers things to buy from you. You can also give away e-courses and reports. Within this content you can integrate the sale of your products. Just make sure you provide quality content interspersed with sales content.

2. Give trial offers. You find an affiliate program that offers a trial period. For example, you give away a month or two month trial of the affiliate’s program. Many affiliate programs are happy to give away free trial periods because they know that most people who sign up will continue to use the program after the free trial period.

3. Offer demos. An example is to give away a demo of your software or program. The demo has an expiration date.

4. Offer training videos. An example is to make a training video on how to use a software program. Make sure to give your affiliate link with the offer so when people actually buy the software you will earn a commission.

5. Turn your subscribers into marketing partners. Have your list members actively promote your business for you. You can turn a small list into an army of people that generate business for you.

How do you accomplish this? When people first sign up for your list, send them a free eBook. Provide a link with this eBook which lets them promote your business by sending this free eBook to other people that they know.

Tip: Don’t look at your list as just people you can sell to, but as people that can sell for you and promote your business.

6. Use two-tier affiliate programs. Build a down line by using the list members and give your list members eBooks to help build their own business. Your list members give away this free material and earn a commission and you earn commission on any sales that are generated.

Tip: Train people how to become more effective affiliates so you can make more money from them.

“7 Ways to Make Money from your Customer List”

7 ways to make money with your customer list include:

1. Sell sponsor advertising.
Find new advertisers through competition ads in ezines and newsletters. Find out who advertises with your competition. Contact these advertisers and give them free advertising in your newsletter. Then in the future charge them because they will be satisfied with the initial results of their free advertising.

2. Submit your ads and ezines to announcement lists.
Let them know that they can advertise on your ezine and newsletter. Great resources include: http://www.topezineads.com and http://www.lifestylepub.com.

3. In your actual newsletter, put a notice that advertising is available and direct them to your website so they can check out advertising rates.

4. Set up an affiliate program to sell advertising. Offer your affiliate 25-50% commission. You can build your advertising through the efforts of others. At www.ezineadauction.com you can auction your advertising to the highest bidder.

5. Co-ops. You join a service to sell your advertising at an inexpensive price with the thought that these advertisers will pay you full price in the future.

6. Sell your own products. You earn much more profit if you sell your own products to your list.

What if you don’t have a product to sell? You can recommend other products such as buying and selling reprint rights. There are always products you can buy and license to sell yourself. Search for reprint rights in your niche. Look for related products.

7. Recommendations of affiliate programs.
There are 4 kinds you should promote:
Affiliate Type #1. Programs that sells in high volume. These are top profit generators.

Affiliate Type #2: High ticket programs that earn high profits such as vacation packages and seminars tickets. You don’t have to sell as many of these products because you earn a high amount of profit per product.

Affiliate Program Type #3: Monthly profit where the affiliate program pays you commission on the lifetime of that customer. Examples include dating services and weight loss services that have monthly charges to the customer.

Affiliate Program Type #4: Lifetime programs where you are paid a commission on the lifetime of that customer. http://www.associateprograms.com is a directory of several thousands of affiliate programs. You can find your field easily at this website.

“The DEEP Formula for Internet Success”

The DEEP Formula:
DEEP #1 D = Diverse – You need a network of lists and sub-lists. Email marketing gives you lists, but you also need sub-lists.

Following are four sub-lists/databases you should build.
1. Announcement list database: The topics of announcements range from free updates, eBooks, to allowing other publishers print your articles in their newsletters. The announcement list lets people know that new things are available and asks the list if they are interested in the new items.

An example of an announcement list is when you ask people to subscribe to your list to be notified when you have new products available. Another example is when software companies ask for your email address so they can inform you of software updates. Another example is to have people give you their email address so they can find out more information in a series. These are very effective ways to capture the email addresses of your customers.

2. Registration database: An example is to give away something free, such as an eBook, to get their email address. Another example is software programs that have a free trial period after which the software is locked until you register for an official copy of it.

Tip: You can allow people to pass the eBook or software around to other people. This is viral marketing that will greatly increase the number of people in your list because they have to register to use the official copy of the software (and unlock the software).

3. Partnership database: Create this through joint ventures and partnerships.

4. Bonuses database: Instead of just giving away free items, have the people request them. For example, have people give you their name and email before they can obtain the free eBook or bonus.

Tip: Send an Autoresponder sequence of emails to these lists in which you provide valuable content as well as sell your products and services. If you want to make money then keep sending these emails to your lists.

DEEP #2 E = Effective. You need to maximize your profits. You must provide quality and useful content for your subscribers. You should give content first to prove your worth and then sell to them. If you provide quality information they will buy from you.

DEEP #3 E = Educational. You need to educate your subscribers and continue to build relationships. Don’t sell to them all the time because they will not trust you and become tired of your constant selling. Remember that these are people and not just email addresses. You should look out for their best interest by giving them education and help. This generosity will make them want to buy from you.

DEEP #4 P = Proactive. You need to aggressively build your lists. Always look for opportunities to build your list. For example, if you participate in a joint venture then find ways to increase your list from this.

Tip: With a good list you can generate profits within hours. Build a relationship with your list and you’re a golden.

“6 Tips that will Drastically Improve your Internet Copywriting”

Are you working on your Internet copy for your Internet business website? Do you have the basics of Internet copywriting down, but need help tweaking it? If so, then you are in the right place because following are 6 Internet copywriting tips you can incorporate into your Internet copy.

Internet Copywriting Tips:
Tip #1: Put copy on one page. If you need more than one page then make sure you have them at a fever pitch before they go to the next page.

Tip #2: Put a cover graphic on your website for your book. This will increase sales. Also put graphics of your products.

Tip #3: If you really want to be successful make sure to get their snail mail address and phone number after you grab them online. It is good to send snail mail because there is less competition because more businesses are online now.

Tip #4: Use color on your website. Color can improve our response. In paper direct mail, color can become too expensive.

Tip #5: In paper Typeface – Headline is Times Roman. Body copy is in Courier. Courier looks more personalized.

On a website – Times Roman is hard to read in body copy. You want to choose a font that is easy to read on the computer screen. Use black as the main body copy and then accent the copy with red and blue.

Never put your words on top of patterns of colors. You need to provide a contrast of colors that is easy to read.

Tip #6: Use bold, underline, and CAPS. Make sure to limit the number of CAPS though. Avoid italic in body copy. Only use italics in a big headline.

Try using these 6 tips to tweak your website copy. One minor change can mean the difference between $1,000 in income and $100,000 in income.

Copywriting gives you your own identity. You can promote other people’s things through an affiliate program, but this won’t establish your identity. If you have your own copy then you can convey why people should buy from you as opposed to somebody else.

“9 Copywriting Tips for Top Internet Copywriters”

Following are excellent copywriting tips that top Internet copywriters follow:
Copywriting Tip #1: When you are writing copy, start with your “offer”. What are you going to offer? Who are you going to offer it to? An offer should convey how much the product is worth and how much you are going to charge for the product.

Copywriting Tip #2: Tell people the price of the product up front. Then substantiate the price. Give reasons why it is at a certain price. Examples include pointing out the price and value of your competitors.

Copywriting Tip #3: Tell people what the bonuses are in your offer.

Copywriting Tip #4: Provide scarcity and urgency. Tell people why they have to buy now. For example, have a time limit on your offer. Tell people what consequences will happen if they don’t buy your product right now. For example, let them know what they will miss out on. You have to get people to buy right then because any delay will substantially decrease the chances of a buy.

Copywriting Tip #5: Your Headline is critical. If it is ineffective then you can miss out on hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Five times as many people read the headlines as the body copy.

Copywriting Tip #6: On the average, ads with news are recalled by 22% more people than ads without news. Basically, people like helpful information.

Copywriting Tip #7: Photographs sell more than illustrations. Why? Because photographs are more believable.

Copywriting Tip #8: The length of your copywriting should be as long as it takes to get the job done and provide interesting information.

Copywriting Tip #9: Put your most convincing copy right up front. Hit people with your big guns first.

What’s the difference between Internet copy and regular paper copy?
Difference #1: The location and number of headlines is different.
The headline in a paper direct mail sales letter is usually on the outside of an envelope. It prompts people to open up the envelope because they are interested in reading more.

On a website, the headline includes the search phrase they used to find your website. Your website domain name is your second headline. A headline can also be the subject line in your email. Internet copy has many more instances of headlines.

Difference #2: Internet copy has to deal with browsers.
There are different browsers such as Internet Explorer, Netscape and FireFox. You need to make sure that your website works with all browsers.

“The Ins and Outs of Copywriting”

People on the Internet aren’t going to stay on your website for very long unless you grab their attention.

Myth: I don’t advertise because there are free ways to get something.
This is a myth because everything you do is advertising. Whenever you try to get people to do something, you use techniques in advertising.

Therefore, copywriting is not about writing properly. It is about selling. The purpose of selling is to get the prospect to understand that the product or service will solve their problem. This is the whole heart and goal of effective copywriting.

Exercise: Find sales letters, ads, and websites that are effective and have been proven to work well. Take these items and study them. Physically write out the copy on the ad. Why? This helps your mind understand why the ad works and train your copywriting muscles to repeat this format.

Here is sample copy from “The Lazy man’s way to Riches:”
Most people are too busy earning a living to make any money. I used to work hard. The 18 hour days, the 7 day weeks.

But I didn’t start making big money until I did less. A lot less.

For example, this ad took about two hours to write. With a little luck, it should earn me $50,000 maybe $100,000.

What’s more, I’m going to ask you to send me $10 for something that will cost me no more than 50 cents. And I’ll try to make it so irresistible that you would be a darn fool not to do it.

Another Version of the “The Lazy man’s
You think you’ve got problems? Well, I remember when a bank turned me down for a $200 loan. Now I lend money to the bank. Certificates of deposit at $100,000 a crack…

The purpose of writing down this copy is to understand the rhythm of what is successful. Find advertisements that are effective and write them out. Note the rhythm and flow of the copy. Note the choice of words and the images and feelings that they evoke.

The key is to not reinvent the copywriting wheel, but to model successful copywriting and adapt it to your niche, product, and service.

Tip: People who are successful in copywriting have created the model for you. Study good copy!

“The Quick and Dirty Way to Book a Radio or Television Interview”

How to get booked on radio and TV:
1. You have to create a 60 second pitch. This is also known as an elevator pitch. You have to be able to talk about your website and product all in 60 seconds. You need to practice this pitch. Producers are very busy so you have to get their attention right away.

2. Assemble a press kit. The press kit should contain:
- Articles about you or that relate to your product or niche.
- Biography
- Questions: These are the questions that the interviewer can ask you. It makes their job much easier and they are more likely to book you if you provide these.
- Testimonials: Have testimonials from other radio and television hosts on how great you are. The testimonials should only be from other media people, not your customers.
- Professional photos of you.
- Press Release

Tip: You should also have an online version of this press kit on your website. You never know when the media will need your services. They will be able to find your online press kit on your website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Tip: Have a specific “Media” link on your website to make it easy for media contacts to contact you.

Tip: If you don’t have the time or the skills then you can outsource the writing of these materials to PR companies and freelancers.

How to write a pitch:
Think about your customer. Write a sales letter to your customer.

Tip: Send an email to the media contact first. They most likely won’t respond to the email. Then get on the phone and ask them if they received your email. At that point they will want you to tell them about the topic of the email. This is the time to give your 60 second pitch.

Tip: Faxes may work better at contacting media contacts at a radio station.

This can be accomplished because there are thousands and thousands of radio shows all over the country.

There are two main ways to obtain a radio interview:
1. Become an interesting guest. Become articulate.
2. Record your own radio infomercial. This works if you have your conversions right. You need to know how to convert the traffic on television and radio shows.

One of the ways to get on the radio is to advertise in the “Radio TV Interview Report” magazine. The only way to obtain this magazine is if you are a producer of a TV or radio show. They will verify that you are a producer. You can place an ad in this magazine.

Tip: Make the radio show host’s job easy. Send them a format that is easy to understand and useful to their listeners. You will start out with five minute shows and move onto 2 hours of an interview in the future.

When you’re on a radio show you want to be able to convert your information into sales. How can you accomplish this? Try these techniques:

Technique #1: Establish which is more profitable: lead generation or direct sales? Remember, it is difficult to get someone to marry you on the first date, so the same applies to the first contact with your audience.

Technique #2: Be careful about the words you say on the radio interview. If you say something is “free” then you better give it away for free.

Tip: You can also post information in magazines and ezines.

Tips during the radio interview when you are promoting your book:
1. Offer the listeners the option of downloading a digital version of your free book on a website for a limited time offer. When they get to your website tell them that they can have the free book if they opt-in for your list.

2. Track your sales through 1shoppingcart.com. You can pinpoint which radio shows brought in the most money. You can determine which offers are the most lucrative.

Few Sites to Check out!

“Famous or Wealthy: Which do you choose?”

Do you sell an informational product, such as a book online? Are you going to sell a book online in the future? Do you know how to market and promote this book on the Internet for free?

These techniques work for any niche market. It is a system that you can apply and use over and over for any of your businesses.

Tip: Books don’t make you money. Information makes you money. Therefore, selling books in a bookstore won’t make you big money for most people. To be realistic you have to learn how to sell your information online.

Tip: Create a digital product that is easy to download.

Website marketing is easy. You need to obtain website traffic and conversion. Figure out your conversion. If you don’t figure out your conversion correctly you will run out of money. Spending time on television shows such as Oprah will not get you rich alone. You have to convert the audience into buyers, instead of just program viewers.

But first you need to get traffic to your website in order to convert them to paying customers. Getting website traffic involves the rules of publicity.

This leads to understanding the 3 Business Areas:
Make sure to delegate these duties so people can work on their own.
1. Sales and Marketing
2. Product Fulfillment
3. Administration

Each area has different duties and requires different sets of skills. Many people engage in all three areas by themselves which can eat away at their profit. Why? Simple. Your time is valuable. For example you could make more money promoting your product then shipping the product. So outsource these duties.

Why free publicity? You will obtain instant traffic to your website or to your phone number. This instant traffic can lead to instant sales. Plus, you also earn long term credibility and expert status. Speaking on various radio shows and television shows makes it easier to book more speaking engagements. In order to get on a bigger PR show, your previous PR engagements will be analyzed.

How do they analyze your previous PR engagements? You will provide your press kit to potential television and radio shows. It is critical to have a press kit because it will help you gain the attention of the big media. Your press kit should include a listing of your previous PR engagements and a professional head shot to begin with.

Tip: Make sure that you have an easy to understand domain. You will mention your domain name during your television and radio interviews. You can track how effective the interview was based on how many people go to your website during and right after your interview.

Matt Bacak

“How to Create an Information Product”

Everybody can create an information product in the form of an eBook, etc. You can accomplish this is in a variety of ways including:

1. Writing about what you know.

2. Interview experts and turn the interview into an information product such as an eBook, CD, etc.

3. Success by association. Find the most well known people in your niche industry. When you send an email about your product put these people’s names as well as yours on the same list. Subscribers will believe that you are an expert too since you are on the same list. This gives you instant credibility.

4. Create an eBook and PDF. You want both formats to reach more customers.

5. Create audio information products. Record your interviews, teleseminars, and presentations. Turn these into CDs and DVDs.

6. Many information products last forever. You don’t need to update the information. You write it once and sell it over and over. It is a great way for residual income that doesn’t require extra work. Especially, when you have affiliates market it for you.

What about audio products? Audio products are a great way to supplement your business income and are easy to create.

1. Visit your local radio shack. Look for a microphone and recording software.

2. Edit your audio files using “Cool edit” at http://www.cooledit.com

3. Duplicators. You can duplicate your content on CDs and tapes.

4. Use http://www.ifulfillment.com. They will send out your packages for you at an inexpensive rate.

Tip: You can repurpose your audio content by creating audio transcripts. You should take what you already have and figure out more ways to make money with it. For example, you can turn an eBook into an audio book. This will help you maximize the amount of money you can earn from the same content.

Tip: People are willing to pay more money for a home study course. So you can take the same content and put it in a three-ring binder home study course.

Tip: Up sell to your customer with additional products and offer value added bonuses all that revolve around the same content, but are presented in a different format.

Tip: You can outsource transcription of your audio files to freelancers on http://www.elance.com.

Tip: Teleseminars/teleconferences – These events provide a great deal of value to the customer. You can record them and turn them into an informational product.

“Create a Lucrative Product in Just 5 Easy Steps”

Follow these steps to create a highly marketable and lucrative product for your Internet business:

Step #1: Research your market. Find out where your market is and go there.
Resource #1 for Marketing related products go to the website: http://www. gettingtraffic.com

Resource #2: For all niches, go to http://www.groups.google.com. You can find the newsgroups that relate to your niche. You would be amazed at how many online Google discussion groups are in your niche. These discussions forums are ripe ground for finding and researching your market.

You can create a product based on the problems presented in these news groups. For example, you can go into a nursing forum and identify problems. Then you can write an eBook called the “Nursing Survival Guide”.

Listen to your customer. Ask them what problems they have. Survey them as to what they look for in a product and what they are willing to pay. The key is to not guess what your customers want because you don’t know for sure. You need to hear it from their mouths to ensure that you create the right product.

Step #2: Get affiliates to market your product for you. The more affiliates you have working for you, the less you have to do. You can make huge amounts of cash using affiliates.

Step #3: Define your solution. Outline it and write it down.

Step #4: Define your budget. How much are you willing to spend? You don’t have to spend a lot of money.

Step #5: Following are great resources to use.
Outsourcing:

Software Creation:
http://www.scriptlance.com
http://www.rentacoder.com
http://www.elance.com

Consulting:
http://www.keen.com. You can become an instant consultant overnight and charge people to call you.

All of these websites are a reverse auction. The bidders are freelancers so they bid the lowest price so they can get the project you post. Plus, you can post your budget. You can set a maximum price that you will accept. It is up to you. In addition, you will have freelancers bid on your projects immediately. So it is a very quick way to find someone to outsource your jobs to.

Are you nervous about hiring a freelancer? On these websites you can read the feedback about the freelance provider. This will help you determine whether or not you want to hire them for the project.

Tip: Never take the first bid. Make sure you evaluate several bid options before you make a decision.

Tip: Make sure the bidder has done a similar project before. You need to know that they understand how to make your product through experience. You don’t want to be their guinea pig.

Tip: Post to more than one freelance website. You may find the same quality of people, but at a lower cost.

Tip: Have a definite date of completion for your product. Make sure the freelancer knows this date and will stick to it, no excuses.

Tip: The first line of your project posting should be “This is a very simple project for anybody that knows what they are doing.” This helps you to get a lower bid.

“The 5 Keys of Product Development”

Product development is a critical component of your Internet business. You will constantly develop new products through repurposing content and coming up with solutions to your customers’ problems. How you engage in product development can mean the difference between a high profit and a major loss.

So what are the components of product development?

There are 5 keys to product development:
Key #1: The product must solve a problem. People will give you their cash if you provide them with a solution to their problem. Examine your niche to find out what people want and the problems they deal with in this niche.

Key #2: The product must already be in high demand. You don’t have to create a unique product. You can create a similar product to products already on the market. Just make sure to demonstrate why your product is unique and is a better solution then the competition.

Key #3: You have to research your market. You have to have a built-in market so you know that people are out there that will buy your product when it is ready. If you don’t research your market then your product may gather dust on the shelf, while your bank account suffers.

Key #4: Your product must be simple for the end-user to use it. For example, some software programs are complicated. They could use step-by-step simple instructions.

Key #5: The most important key to success is to understand and provide the “holy crap” factor. These two words are what people should say when they see and use your product. This can create an overnight success in your business because you are wowing them with your exceptional product. Your product has to have shock value. You need to engage people in your website and admire it.

Follow these keys to product development and you set yourself up for victory.

“How to Create Highly Profitable Product”

Think you need years of experience and education in order to create high profit products? Think again. You can create your own high profit products with absolutely no experience. This can be accomplished if you have the knowledge of the steps necessary to achieve this goal.

Let’s start with this question - Have you had an idea for something, but it was too complicated to create? For example, you may have an idea for a software program, but don’t know how to write computer code. You know how you want it to work, but don’t know the technical specs behind it.

So how can you create and build this highly profitable product? Follow these steps:

First step: Ask yourself - Why should you create a product?

Reasons include:

1. You want to make money. You aren’t looking for friends; you’re looking for cold, hard cash.

2. You want to create a brand name and/or you want to be recognized.

3. You want to create an opt-in list based on the product.

4. You want to capitalize on current trends in the marketplace. Essentially, you are creating a product that is going to solve the problem that people have. This problem is fluid and can change on a daily basis, especially since the Internet links the entire world in real time.

The good news is that you don’t have to know how to make a product because you can hire people to create the product for you. For example, for your software product you can hire a computer programmer that will write the code for you. You pay them a fee, but you will recoup this fee and much, much more so it is worth outsourcing the job to a professional.

Now let’s look at your Internet business website:
How many other websites are linked to you? This gives you your link popularity. Google looks at the number of sites that are linked to you. Don’t forget to look at the link popularity of your competitors. How many sites do they have linked to them?

Don’t forget your Opt-In List:
You can create an opt-in list on the page that sells your product. This opt-in list enables you to sell more of your other products to the subscriber.

So outsource the creation of your product and tweak your Internet business. This will lead to the victory of a highly profitable product.

“Tips for Internet Copyrighting”

Want to know more about effective copywriting on the Internet? Read on to find out answers to common questions.

Webcopy differs from real world copy because you have to be a “producer” when you create your Internet website. Being a producer includes sound, pictures and writing. So the first step is to research your competitors. You should visit all the websites that are in your niche. Find these websites through search engines.

You should also create swipe files of samples advertisements. Use the technique of chunking before writing any advertisement. Look at problem chunking first. Set up the problem that fits into your niche. For example, what happens that causes a problem that needs help from you or your product? Then look at the solution chunks. This is when you demonstrate the solution that you and your product offer. Go through competitor’s ads and find the problem and solution chunks.

Then find copy about why people are stuck. Also find copy about the process involved in the product.

The call to action involves walking the customer through the exact steps they must take to buy your product or service.

Problem - Provide - solution - Why they are stuck - Call to action

Copywriting formula:
1. State a clear promise.
2. Give proof and reasons why.
3. Call to action.

Another copywriting formula:
1. Start with a story.
2. Call to action.
3. Provide benefits you’ll gain when you take that call to action.

Choose which model you want. One is not better than the other. It is a matter of preference. Just make sure not to change the formula in the middle of the copy because this could confuse the reader.

Tip: Your first 250 words are critical. Make sure to show what, where, when, why, how, and who in the first 250 words. And for email you have to write these in the first 50 words.

Make your website printer friendly. Put these words on your website, “Print this Page”. This enables people to print your website and read about it on actual paper. They often then buy at a later date.

“Gifting: Free Offers = More Income”

Do you know the powerful tool called “gifting”? It is a potent tool that can increase the success of your Internet business by converting traffic. Plus, it benefits your customer list as well.

What is gifting? Gifting is a driver that can be accomplished by offering free one-on-one consultations. These can be lucrative because you are establishing a relationship and have another chance to up sell to your customers. Plus, the customer feels like you are looking out for their best interests when you offer them free information. They are then more likely to buy from you.

Use the law of reciprocity in gifting. When you give people a free consultation, they will want to give back to you. For example, when you give live demonstrations then people will want to give back to you by purchasing products from you.

Tip: Autoresponders – Send your most important content messages in multiples of 7 days. So on days 1, 7, 14, and 21, send your most valuable content in the Autoresponder emails. For example, you can have demos on these days.

Do you know about market center marketing? Market center marketing is when you know what everybody wants and decide that you are going to sell it. For example, you want to give your own customers a great deal or value so you give teleseminars based on your customer’s questions.

For example, one Internet entrepreneur had hundreds of questions flood into his business when he offered to give a teleseminar based on customers’ questions. He picked 52 questions to cover since there are 52 weeks in the year. He made sure the questions were specific. Then he turned the teleseminar into a product by creating a transcript and CD of the teleseminar. This is a great way to make money from a free teleseminar.

Other market center techniques involve the configuration of your website. Following are two tips you can use:

Tip #1: People read linearly on the Internet. So put your name and what you want in the first paragraph.

Tip #2: Engage website visitors by using flash audios. Auditory elements such as testimonials are very powerful. They keep the website visitor, aka a potential customer, interested in you and your product. This element increases the chance of the person becoming a paying customer.

“Supersize it: The Power of the Up Sell”

Imagine that you are at the drive thru at McDonalds. You just ordered a hamburger. What does the fast food worker say to you next? The answer is “Would you like to supersize your meal with a drink and fries?” This answer is a prime example of up selling products. You can apply this tactic to your Internet business to sell more products and make more money.

Following is another tested tactic that will earn your business more money:
At the point of sale you want to create the law of contrast. For example, at McDonalds you see a Happy meal deal for $5, $4, and $3. Typically, people hate extremes and will choose the option in the middle. So they will more often choose the $4 Happy Meal to begin with and then go up one step. So always give the highest price first then the mid price then the lowest price.

Another example is marketing with postcards using the “down sell”. Let’s say that a customer comes to your website, but doesn’t want to read the 4,000 words of postcard type copy. You then should offer a cheaper product and still offer the same bonuses. The down sell employs the psychological law of contrast. For example, you could sell a book at a regular price and the customer doesn’t want it. So down sell to them by offering the same book, but in eBook format for a cheaper price.

Recycling occurs when you count on people leaving your website, but know that you will get them back in the future. An example includes having an exit pop-up that is a survey when the customer doesn’t buy your product. Have copy that asks people for their advice. People love to give their advice. This makes them feel like their opinion counts. For example, say “Before you leave us, please give us your advice about...” An example question is to ask the customer why they didn’t buy. Then try to provide answers to common reasons why people didn’t buy the product.

Another way to recycle traffic is to have people go all the way to the bottom of your sales page and have copy that says “Click here if you have decided not to order my product.” This button should take the customer to a “lift letter”. The lift letter is from a third-party of authority. The lift letter gives you two choices – you can go back to the home page or order the product. Essentially, the lift letter gives more credibility and a referral of your product. So it gets people to trust you more making them more apt to buy. You can find an authority in your niche to write your lift letter.

Try these tactics in your Internet business to rapidly increase your profits.

KEYWORD LIST:
Lift letter
Internet business
Up sell
Down sell
McDonalds
