Capturing Names for Your JV Deal

If you are partnering with someone and helping promote their products as well as yours, how do you ensure you have access to the customer list? This is a question I received recently. To make this completely clear, here was the question:

“How should I set up 1ShoppingCart to accomplish the following? I’m working independently as a promoter for a person that creates digital content for coaches. We’re doing a launch with five different products for $147. The names will be going through his shopping cart. He already has the shopping cart set up with the products and the promotion. How can I make sure that I capture the names of anybody that buys the products? I want to make sure that if they buy something in his cart, I can capture their first name and email address and they get on my list as well.”

The fastest way to do it is to talk the individual whose products you’re promoting. You could say something like: “Hey, look, if I’m going to spend the time and energy promoting your products, I would like to get the contact information of the people that I send you. Somehow you need to work out a deal where you get access to their names and email addresses as well.

Now, if you don’t want to do that, the next best thing to do is offering a bonus. For anybody who buys any of those five products, they’ll get a specific bonus. However, in order for them to get the bonus from you, you’ve got to get their name and email address. Since you don’t have the shopping cart you can do something else. How about offering your bonus on the thank-you page as well as the landing page that people land on!

If your jv partner is not too keen on just giving you every single persons contact info that buys then what you could say is, “Well, okay, no problem. Why don’t we do it this way? I’ll offer an unadvertised bonus! So, they go in, they purchase it, they go to a thank-you page, and on that thank-you page it will say: “Here’s our unadvertised bonus. Click here to get this.”

Once they click on the link, they’ll be lead to a squeeze page and then you can capture all the people that take you up on your bonus offer. So, your partner is no longer handing them to you, but what’s happening is those people are choosing to go there and give you their information and you can collect their contact information from there. That would be a great way to capture their info.

Warmest regards,

Matt Bacak

Google Alerts Plus Blogging Equals Traffic

Now if you’ve ever wanted to see what people were saying about you online as well as see who is linking to you all you have to do is subscribe to Google Alerts. You can subscribe at http://www.google.com/alerts . Basically, what you can do is whatever niche you are in you can type in the word that you’re monitoring online to see what is new. In my case I may use the word “internet marketing”. And if you are established in the industry of online marketing all you have to do is place your name in the box to allow Google Alerts to update you whenever your name is mentioned online. This is what I do.

In order to find out who is talking about me on their websites and blogs I have set up Google Alerts to alert me whenever my name is posted. I simply type in my name in the “search terms” box and then enter my email address. After I do this, Google Alerts will notify me through email anytime my name is mentioned online.

I mean, I could see everything that’s happening and that gets picked by the search engines when it comes in. So this alert comes in and I see it. I can see whenever somebody is blog posting about me. Actually, after we did the event in Singapore, everybody was blogging about it. It was so amazing. I saw so many mentions of my name on Singaporean blogs! But it’s not only flattery that boosts your ego when you see how many people are blogging about you, but it can also boost your traffic. How you ask? Well, what I do is I go to these blogs where someone has posted something about me and I go to comment on a post. The funny thing is is that a lot of times people are surprised because they never expected me to post to their blog.

There are two reasons I do this... Basically, one reason is to acknowledge that I noticed it and to let them know that, hey, I see everything that you’re doing. But I also do this in order to get a link on their blog to point it back to my page. This is an excellent traffic booster!

And so I was doing that, I started noticing that this really works very well in getting traffic coming from other people’s blogs to my pages, particularly my squeeze pages.

So, if you want to get more traffic but also want to be ahead of the game and know everything that’s going on in your niche, use Google Alerts to keep you up-to-date and to help you grow your business.

Warmest regards,

Matt Bacak

Squeeze into a Teleseminar – One of the Best Ways to Make Money!

If you have an online business, do not neglect the potential or possibility of offering a teleseminar to your list. Teleseminars are a goldmine for making big bucks online. But the magic is not only in the teleseminar itself, but in the implementation of your marketing to draw in people. You need to understand this first as well as know how to sell to your list to make it all happen.

So how do you draw in listeners? The magic is in your squeeze-page also known as an opt-in page. Once you capture your prospects names and email addresses through your squeeze page, you email this list and invite them to your teleseminar. Once people squeeze into a free teleseminar, then they land on the sales letter page. Even though you are focused on doing a teleseminar you must always remember to offer your audience something, and you do this by leading them to your sales letter page for your product.

But focusing on teleseminars as one of the ways you can monetize. The day you send your reminder emails and the date of your teleseminar is crucial. You also need to address the topic of your teleseminar. Make sure it's something your list would favour as really good information that they can't miss and can't find anywhere else. I typically send out emails, usually twice, so if I'm doing a Thursday call, I'll typically send out an email maybe on Tuesday night and then send another reminder email of the call on Thursday.

There's certain days that you want to do teleseminars. Mondays aren't really a good day to do teleseminars to make money. Tuesdays are really good days to do teleseminars to sell things. Wednesdays are really good too. Actually, you're going to have less people sign up but more people show up on Wednesday calls. Thursdays are really good days to do them. You're going to have a lot of people sign up but not as many people show up.

Just think about it. You spend one hour on a call and offer your product for sale and you can make a lot of money. I did three telecalls that did over a quarter of a million dollars in just three telecalls this year.

You can also partner up with an expert in your niche and do the call together and split the profits 50/50. I did a call with an expert and it was brilliant! My prospects signed up by adding their name and email address and then I led them to my sales page to purchase my product. This was a call that we did on Thursday. We sent out two emails. The content – I had somebody else take care of on the call. But basically, we ended up making about $65,000 on this telecall, and it wasn't me doing it. So, usually when you're doing telecalls and you have somebody else on there, you usually split it 50/50. I split it 50/50 and ended up making 32,500 bucks? Not too
bad for a one hour call.

If you're currently not using teleseminars for your business, start now. See what information you can offer your audience that they would like to hear on a call and go from there. Your options are endless and the amount of money you can make is unlimited too!
