How to reduce your keywords down to 16 to 18 cents per bid

If you’ve ever been in a niche where your Google Adwords keywords campaigns were pricey, here is a great way to reduce the amount you spend on your bids. Does 16 to 18 cents sound good to you? Well, there are multiple ways to do this. The biggest thing you need to do is testing and tweaking to get your bid down. Now, I know that’s probably not the answer you’re looking for because this can be very tedious and time consuming, but really there is no other way.

At the beginning, you’re kind of like going fishing. We’re going to throw out a big net when we go fishing. We’re going to go out and find all these different keywords. And then what we’re going to do is we’re going to break those keywords down into smaller things. For example, if you do keyword research and you discover that for the term “books”, a whole list of different keyword phrases containing the term “books” pops up. Now, some of these keywords are searched for a lot more than others, so what you want to do is group the most popular keywords all together. Once you start doing this, you use the 80/20 rule; 80% aren’t going to work, 20% are.

So, from that perspective, what I do next is I take that and then I say, “Okay, here’s the 20% that are working, now let’s go break these down.” So, I will pull out, let’s say 20 words that were in books and go create another ad group and throw those 20 words that were in books into this group. Then, I keep on breaking them down.

Basically, what I’m doing is keyword structuring or what I call “marbles”. At the beginning of our Google AdWords campaign, what I do is grab the bag of marbles and pour it all over the table. Now what we want to do is break them up into little segments, creating ad groups. So, we have this one campaign which is the marbles and now we want to break them down into different colors. The reason we do this is because we don’t want one keyword affecting our whole campaign. So we break them down from there.

Then once we get even closer, even deeper inside that, the next thing is creating the correct ads. We’re testing ads with a group of words. This will help determine which words have a good click-through rate (CTR). You want to have a good click-through rate because Google’s going to reward you for having better marketing. So if you’re a better marketer than the other guy, you’re going to be making more money for Google, so they’re going to be willing to actually lower the cost per click for you.

So, essentially, it’s really about testing and tweaking, what I said at the beginning. If you’re running an A/B split test, a lot of times you’ll have two different ads with a group of keywords. What I’d highly recommend is only changing one variable. Don’t have two separate, different-looking ads because you’ll never know what is really causing you to have better click-throughs.

The goal is to get the click-through rate up. If your click-throughs are from zero to 1.5, you’re doing okay. If it’s 1.5 to 3, then you’re doing really well. If it’s above 3, you’re doing great. If you haven’t achieved this then make some modifications that you can track and keep monitoring it. Eventually, you’re going to get really good at it and may even have fun doing it.

Warmest regards,

Matt Bacak

The Quickest Way to Sell your Products Online

Now that you have launched your product and made some sales, what is the best and quickest way to get your product in front of as many eyes as possible?
Well, Clickbank is always a great way since it is the Internet's largest digital marketplace. It is also very easy to list with them and they handle everything for you, totally hands free.

You may want to also consider EBay. I’ve been selling a lot on EBay lately. EBay’s been really good for me, and you can put all your stuff on EBay. I’d highly recommend it even if you’ve only got one product now. You’ll be amazed by what happens when you make your product available for sale there. Also, if you’ve launched your product and you’ve made some sales, then the next thing you want to start doing is always be focused on building your list. I mean, that’s very, very important to always focus on expanding your list.

Another thing that’s really important is finding and establishing relationships with joint venture partners. The sooner you start this the more sales you’ll make. Basically, if you’ve already proven you’ve made money with your product and it’s not some pie in the sky thing, people will probably want to do something with you. I’d highly recommend you looking for joint ventures as the quickest and fastest way to sell more products.

Another thing you might want to try is Google AdWords campaigns. By using Adwords – you may make more profit than you’d expected. Although it can be quite costly if you don’t know what you’re doing or if you pick high demand keywords, however, if you are on a tight budget there are ways that you can limit your expenditures.
You can also consider solo advertising. Go to Ezines-R-Us. If this is the right target market for your niche, they have lists that you can pay to send out solo advertisements and solo emails to.

It’s not really a big deal to do any of this stuff, but I would highly recommend you taking action and trying these methods out. But remember, joint ventures are going to be the quickest and fastest way for you to really get a lot of eyes focused on your product.

Matt Bacak

Survey Your Market!

If you know anything about selling a product, one of the first rules you learn is "sell what you know people are buying". That's a true statement that is followed by the top companies worldwide. This belief is not only followed by those famous retail companies we all know and love, but online sellers should also be very loyal to this belief.

If you want to produce or promote a product online you have to make sure it's what your market wants. Many individuals new to online marketing fail to do this and realize after many hours and hundreds or thousands of dollars later that it was all in vain. So, if you want to sell online or offline, survey your market!

The best way to survey your market is to create a form. If you have a website the best way to do this is by using AskDatabase.com. This form building software allows you to place a form on your website which allows you to ask your visitors exactly what it is they are looking for and want.

If you go to http://www.askdatabase.com/, take a look at what this powerful software developed by co-founder Alex Mandossian does... Ask Database:

· Helps you create new products and services from scratch

· Helps you to effortlessly grab more testimonials from clients

· Helps you uncover new market niches using Google Adwords™

· Helps you quickly determine winning teleseminar content

· Plus so much more

However, if you are considering offering survey questionnaires to your list, you've got to make a choice. Do you want to deal with the management of the answers to those questions? If so, I would highly recommend using a database. Ask Database is one of the simplest questionnaire software programs on the market. Plus, it's fairly easy to use. I actually this software to manage my business.

To get the best use of the software and to get the best results, it's always best to ask your visitors what their most pressing problem is. And if there's anything specific you need, just make sure you ask your audience. As long as you find out what your visitors need and want you are sure to produce a good product and one that will sell and make you a decent profit!

Matt Bacak

What You Need to Do to Systematize Your Business

When running an online business the only way to success is to have an organized system of steps that you follow in order to make your business run smoothly. There are many people who have successful online websites. But the reason they are successful is because their business is systematized. Granted there are those who fluked at their success but somewhere along the line they had a system in place and may not have even realized it.

If you already have a website but it's not creating the returns you had hoped for then make sure you have these steps in place for a smoother more profitable website.

1.Make sure you have an autoresponder in place to capture email addresses. This is critical! You need to build a list so that you can sell to them again and again. But having an autoresponder opt-in page is not enough. Go and log into your autoresponder. But make sure the autoresponder is working properly. Sign up yourself and test it to make sure your messages are going out.

2.Submit your website to free directories.

3.Monitor your Google Adwords. Test and track to see what's going on with your campaigns and analyze your results. Spend a good coffee day doing this.

4.Write Articles and ensure you have your niche keywords or the main keywords for your website sprinked throughout the content of your article

5.Submit your article to article directory sites like www.ArticleCity.com, www.EzineArticles.com or www.GoArticles.com.

6.Summarize your articles. Take those summaries of those articles and turn those summaries into emails. Start adding these informative summaries to you autoresponder sequence so that you have emails going out. I wouldn't just turn the summaries into short emails. Make sure those emails have a link that leads to a new website page with the full article. This will make it an informative website – basically off of your site. So, whatever your squeeze page is, dot com, forward slash, your site and then squeeze page article(s).

7.One thing I do is I would go look into my ListOpt. I would check to see – if the amount of people it says they sent me and the amount of people that I have in my autoresponder look pretty much the same.

8.Go in to your autoresponder list and see if there's any unsubscribers and delete them immediately.
9.Start writing your sales letter emails for your product. If you don't have your own product find affiliate products you can sell. See if your affiliates have articles and emails already pre-written that you can use to target your own list.

10.If you don't have your own product you need to create one as soon as possible. You can do this by creating a teleseminar. It doesn't matter if your list is very small (say 50 people) or very large (15,000 people). It's best if you make every mistake when you don't have that many people on your call. In any event, you can record it and sell your teleseminar as a product. You want to turn it into a product asap. You could even turn your teleseminar into a download that you can send out to your list to start building a rapport with them.

11.Look for those you want to do joint ventures with regardless of whether you have an established relationship with them or not. Place them on your potential JV list.

12.Make it happen! A great way for creating products and/or services – or to make money, is to create a day to launch. This ensures you commit and make it happen.

Follow these steps and you're sure to see great results!

Warmest regards,

Matt Bacak

Your Keyword List Affects Your Google Adwords Campaigns

Creating a Google Adwords Campaign is a fairly simple process. All you have to do is go to Google.com and click on Advertising Programs. Then it leads to another page and you’ll see the Google Adwords link on the left side. If you haven’t signed up already for Google Adwords, do so immediately. This is a great way to leverage your existing organic traffic and sales with those from your campaigns.

Once you sign up you’ll have to start a campaign and produce ad groups so that you can test and tweak what ads are working and what ads are not. But you should realize that your ad wording is not the only important thing you need to consider when preparing your ads. You need to also think about your keyword lists!
The more keywords you have when you run your campaigns the better. I always say about 80% of your words are not going to perform well and the other 20% are going to be good.

When you set up your Google AdWords campaign you don’t initially know which keywords are actually going to perform for you. So that’s where you have to do some testing and observing to see what your visitors are responding to in your ads. So, basically, if you throw a bunch of keywords into your campaign and run the ad, you’re going to figure out which keywords are getting impressions and which keywords aren’t getting impressions. This way you’ll know which ones are working and which ones aren’t.

If you run your ads for a day or two you’ll be able to see what keywords are performing for you. For those keywords that are not getting any or are getting extremely low impressions delete these. Take note of your keywords that are getting a good response rate. These keywords getting the impressions will be a part of your 20%. Then once you’re down to the top 20% keep this list of keywords and use it to create your new keyword list for your final Google Adwords campaign.

You can even create new ad groups! So, you have a campaign and inside each campaign you have an ad group. Therefore, inside that campaign you’ve created, you separate all the keywords into the list of the strong keywords that are part of your 20% list. This list is now more targeted or shall we say “niched” and will definitely grab more results from your visitors.

Better results equal higher returns for you and your business! A definite win-win!!

Matt Bacak

Google Adwords – Understanding Your Bids & Keywords

When you set up a Google Adwords campaign you particularly have to place specific attention on your keyword choices as well as your bids. After all, you don’t want to be charged more for a bid that you could have avoided paying. So, who controls the bidding process? Google of course! I know, we would love to control it but the powers that be have the last say.

So, how does this bidding process really work? Well, let me explain:

If you are running a Google Adwords campaign sometimes you may find that the information on the Google ad group 1 can sometimes have no ads showing for a particular keyword. This keyword obviously has a low quality score from Google so the bid on it can exceed your current bid. What this means is each keyword is given a quality score based on its relevance of the keyword, ad text, and landing page. If your quality is low, the minimum cost per click bid required to show your ad for the keyword will be high. Conversely, high quality keywords have a lower minimum cost per click bids. If for example the minimum cost per click bid for the keyword is greater than the bid, the keyword(s) become inactive and your ad stops showing for that particular term.

It is extremely important to always monitor your ads performance while you are running your ad and after you run your ad. This will allow you to test and gain accurate results that can be tweaked and improved for the future.

Also, a very important thing to remember is to never get emotionally attached to any of your keywords! This is a big no-no. There’s tons more keywords out there that you can find that people are searching for.

One of the best tips when creating a Google Adwords campaign is this... if you are running your ads and you develop many inactive keywords, you’ve got two choices – one, take all the keywords and delete them and then just re-add them in there or secondly, raise or increase your bid. There’s really no other choice.

Having inactive keywords happens to everyone but it’s good to know what to do in this situation. There’s no other choice you pretty much have, unless you have the keywords on your webpage. Now you can’t do this with all of your keywords because it just won’t make sense – but you can take some of your keywords and add them to your page. If you have the keywords on your page, what happens is Google sometimes – not all the time – Google can sometimes give you a better quality score. If they give you a better quality score, your bid price will go down.

These are just some tips that will assist you when creating your ad campaigns and hopefully you’ll gain the upper hand using these strategies. Good luck!

Matt Bacak

How to Test Your Headlines

When you are coming up with your masterful headlines you cannot forget to test. I know many people feel their headline is brilliant and there is no way their headline could be a failure. Well, think again! Without testing your headline you really have no idea how your audience will respond to your sales letter. A weak headline can break a sale in no time. Lost sales means lost time and more importantly lost revenues for your business. So, in order to ensure you’re producing the best headline possible for your product or service finding out what appeals to your audience is essential. After all, they are the ones who are purchasing from you and you want to make sure you speak to them in the way they want to be spoken to. They need to be able to relate to what it is you are offering them. They need to feel understood.

Basically, the best way to test your headline is to take a piece of paper or open a new Word document and begin typing variations of your headline. Then go to Google Adwords and run the various ads with the different headlines to see which headline converts better and gets a better response rate. A lot of people use this method and find it to be very effective.

However, what I do is test my headlines on squeeze pages. Actually, I’m running a squeeze page test right now. What I’m doing is I’m basically seeing what my conversion rate is. I let the particular squeeze page with my specific headline run for a couple of weeks, and then I go and add another headline and so on. I’m not doing a true ABC split test, I’m not using any special software or anything, but I am doing that to see which headline produces the best results for what it is that I’m promoting at the time.

Most importantly make sure you find the right environment to begin writing your headlines. Make sure it’s quite and you have no distractions. Once you do this you’re definitely off to a good start. Once you have your headlines and you feel fairly comfortable with them you’re ready to begin testing out your efforts. If you always remember to test and track your headlines, this is the best way to determine whether you’re making the most out of your time and money!

The Right Way to Ask Your Customers ...“How Did You Hear About Us?”

When you run an online business it is always extremely important to know where your customers heard about you and how they landed on your site in the first place. Did they read an article, see your press release, click on your Google Adwords campaign or find you through the search engines? You need to know this so that you can evaluate what things are producing the best results and bringing visitors to your site. Remember, you want to minimize your time and effort and also spend your advertising dollars in the right place – a place that’s going to produce results!

So, how do you go about asking your visitors how they heard about you? Well, it’s a fairly simple process:

Basically you would use an autoresponder software program to produce an opt-in/sqeeze-page. But before you produce your opt-in page and ask your visitors how they heard about you, you’ll have to place this page in the right area of your website. Don’t just ask the question on any old webpage, "...how did you hear about us"? This is doomed to fail if you do this in the wrong area of your website. It’s useless to ask if your visitor really hasn’t done anything. If you do you’ll lose your traffic and you wouldn’t get them back at that time.

You don’t want to give your visitors too many options. So, the best time to offer an opt-in page is if your customer has made a purchase through your website. Don’t forget; let them do one thing at a time. So after they have bought a product from you, send them an email and ask them: "Hey, I just wanted to know how you heard about me?" That way they would be more willing to respond since they’ve already purchased from you and they also see that you are interested in them.

This is the best way to gain feedback from your visitors. You’ll find out exactly how they heard about you. There will be no guessing. Based on the feedback they provide you’ll see where most of your traffic is coming from and make the necessary changes of where to put more or less of your time and money. It’s a great way to leverage but also a great way to hear what your visitors are saying and a great way to offer them exactly what it is they want.

Matt Bacak

“SEO is NOT the quickest way to get website traffic.”

What is the quickest way to drive traffic to your website? Search engine optimization is not the quickest way to drive traffic to your website. You can use search engine optimization programs to drive traffic to your website, but it is not the fastest tool. SEO is not something that will bring traffic to your website overnight. It will take you months to realize the full benefits of search engine optimization.

In addition, search engine optimization is time consuming and labor intensive. Just when you think that you have figured out all the rules and tricks of search engines, they will change their rules on you. Therefore, SEO is beneficial, but not the best way to obtain traffic.

The quickest way to drive to your website is through pay-per-click advertising. The best program to use is Google AdWords. You can literally drive traffic to your website within five to ten minutes using Google AdWords.

How can you maximize your Google AdWords campaign? Set up your Google AdWords account. Then set up your keywords. Google has tools that enable you to create a huge number of keywords. You can dictate to Google how much money you are willing to spend on a daily basis. This will be the limit your spend on Google AdWords each day. You can modify this level at any time.

It is important to note that some keywords cost more than others because they have a higher value. Start of at $0.06 as your bid per keyword. $0.06 is one step higher than the minimum. This will let you win the keyword most of the time because the majority of people bid the keyword at the minimum level which is $0.05.

How much does a keyword bid really cost you? If you have 100 visitors to your website that you will pay $0.06 * 100 = $6.00. You will pay $6.00 to Google. However, let's say you earn $100 from these visitors because they buy your products. Your profit is then $100 - $6 = $94.

What about the higher bids per keyword? Let's say somebody bid a high $6 for a keyword. If they had a 100 visitors to their website through this keyword then they owe Google $600. Wow! They need to sell a huge number of high ticket items to make any profit.

The lesson is that you should know your numbers. Figure out how much you spend per keyword, how many people click on this keyword, and how many of these people actually buy your products. This way you can determine your profit, if any, and figure out if you are bidding the right amount in Google AdWords on the keyword or keywords.

Be careful about the keywords you choose. You are not in the business to have as much traffic come to your website as possible. You shouldn't care about the hit counter on your website. The key is to have as much "targeted" traffic as possible. Targeted traffic is much more likely to buy your products and that is the whole point, right? If you want to make money then it should targeted traffic should be your mantra.

Testing and tracking your business numbers should be ingrained in your psyche. Your Google AdWords program is no exception. Test and tweak the ads you run in Google AdWords. Test the words, grammar, and punctuation to see how it affects the click through rate and sales conversion. Google AdWords has tools that enable you to run split tests and figure out which ads are the most profitable.

Matt Bacak

“Want to know a secret about Internet business? Here are 4!”

Secret #1: Build a belief system. You have to believe that your product will bring in at least $300 per month. Don’t start off which an expectation of a huge profit. If you do then you will most likely be disappointed when you don’t achieve this goal. Start off with a lower profit goal.

Once you earn this goal then figure out how many products you need to sell to earn $3,000 per month. Then when you achieve that goal figure out how many products you have to sell to earn $30,000 per month. The key is to never be satisfied by how much you are earning each month.

You need to understand that you will not get rich with just one product. Think about the big Internet players. They don’t have just one product. They have a line of products. They realize that they have to develop a host of products that turn a decent profit each month on a consistent basis.

You should build a product that can stand the test of time. Don’t create a flavor of the month product because you will always have to develop the next new product. If you work this way you won’t be able to earn residual income and let go of your business. You will be trapped in a vicious cycle of product creation. Instead, focus on an information product and line of products that will sell far into the future.

Secret #2: Use public domain information. You can copy, paste, and sell public domain information. You can obtain public domain from the government. How? Go to http://www.google.com/unclesam. You can find all the information you ever wanted about the government.

For example, you can click on the “Grants” link. You will go to http://www.grants.gov/. This will give you information about all the government grants available. This is valuable information. Think about the guy on TV that wears the suit with questions marks who sells government grant information. You have access to the same information that he sells to people. You can take this information and turn it into your own product quickly. You can then sell it for a profit.

Tip: You can access a free government search engine at http://www.firstgov.gov/. There are several categories you can go to and find valuable information. You can download, use, and adapt this information into your own product for free. Why? This government information is in the public domain.

Secret #3: You don’t have to write your content. You can use public domain information. And/or you can record your thoughts onto a CD. You can sell the CD. You can also have a freelancer transcribe and format this information. This will let you sell a printed version of the product as well.

Secret #4: How do you market your product? Open up a Google AdWords account. Google AdWords enables you to create small ads that will appear in the search engines.

You should also set up a website and write an effective sales letter. You can have a freelancer create your website. Go to http://www.scriptlance.com/ or http://www.elance.com to find freelancers.

The Internet is not as difficult as you think. You can create a product in two to three days or sometimes in just a few hours.

Warmest regards,

Matt Bacak

“Two Amazingly Powerful Ways to Drive Traffic to your Squeeze page”

Do you know the basics of getting customers to buy products from you? You have to create a squeeze page. You have to drive traffic to your squeeze page. You can offer a free CD that customers can get if they only pay the cost of shipping and handling. After they buy the free CD, you get the customer on the phone and up sell to them.

Let’s go back to driving traffic to your squeeze page. What are some ways to accomplish this? The three ways are to write articles, use Google Adwords, and to participate in joint ventures.

Let’s take a look at articles. You can write your articles which will cost you time. You may want to outsource this job to Freelance Writers on Elance.com. How much will it cost you to write and submit these articles?

Let’s look at the Elance numbers:
I’ve found that the average cost to have 3 articles written is $131. So $43.92 per articles.

Then to get each article submitted you will have to pay $20/article. This submits articles to 152 locations. This is done by hand.

Or you can use Article Submitter Pro software where it sends the article to 800 locations which takes the same amount of time. So using this software is in your best interest.

You should set the follow goals regarding your articles:
1. Get 10 articles written as written as soon possible. This will cost approximately $439. + $20 * 10 articles = $639.
2. Get 100 articles written as soon possible. This will cost approximately $4390 + $2000 = $6,390

Why is it so critical to send out 100 articles? When you submit articles, they are not only submitted to the article locations you submit to, but people who are also looking for content will find your article. These articles can be copied onto their website, if they include your bio and link. This is viral marketing and will get your name all over the Internet at no extra work.

Articles are amazing. They get passed around the Internet over and over. So you get a lot of bang for your buck.

The next way to drive traffic to your website is through Google AdWords.
Let’s look at my numbers of the 6 month average for his company. Max cost per click was 20cents. Click through rate was 1.1. You want to shoot for a click through rate of 3 and higher.

Spent approximately $15,000 over 6 months. Average placement was #4 on Google. Average conversion rate was 8.4%. Average squeeze person cost $1.87.
Each month spent $2,518 on Google AdWords which brought in l,586 subscribers per month.

But what about the free CD page? It is converting at 25-28%. This means that we get 336 buyers from this free CD page. So we make a lot of money off of each free CD. Plus, these people buy a lot more of our products.

Basically, the money that I invest in my marketing always comes back to me and then some. You have to spend money to make money. Put your money in marketing and then reinvest back into marketing to make every more profit.

“6 FAQ about Internet Businesses”

Question #1: Other than teleseminars and one-on-one, what is the best way to build a relationship with clients?

Answer: Let your clients know who you are as a person. Let them know you are more than a product or service and that you are human. For example, let them know that you are real by sending out non-business related content such as a family newsletter.

Question #2: Here’s my situation. I want to use Google AdWords to promote an affiliate site. When an Internet visitor clicks on the Google AdWords advertisement should I send them directly to the affiliate’s website or to my own website first?

Answer: Send them to your website first. Create a squeeze page of your own so you can capture their information. Then once they sign up send them to your affiliate’s website. If you send them directly to the affiliate’s website then you will lose out on their information. This would prevent you from marketing to them on your own in the future.

Question #3: Do you suggest doing a squeeze page and sales letter page to get people to order freebies so you can build your list?

Answer: If Internet visitors have already gone through your squeeze page then they are on your list. You don’t need to “squeeze” them again with a squeeze page related to your freebies.

Question #4: Here’s my situation. I want to give away a free 30 minute video interview plus a transcript and a free report. My question is – Should I give away the free video interview or the free report?

Answer: Give away both the video interview and the report for free. Video interviews are hot right now so that would be a great thing to give away. However, you have to understand the needs and wants of your niche. For example, are people in your niche audio or visual? Are they used to reading? Do they want to watch and listen to a video instead?

Question #5: Here’s my situation. I received an email list from somebody that wants to do a joint venture with me. My question is – Should I send out the email to this list?

Answer: No. The email should be sent for you by the person that owns the list. You should not import their list into your Autoresponder because this is known as spamming. Plus, if you send it, the email recipients have no idea who you are and could report you as spam.

Question #6: Somebody that had legitimately signed up for my list gave a spam complaint about an email I sent. How can I defend myself against this?

Answer: You need to find exactly who posted this spam complaint. You need to prove that this person legitimately opted-in for your list. Immediately delete them from your list. Take a screen shot of this to prove that you deleted them from your list. Save their information into a separate file in case you need it later.

It’s important to realize that you will get spam complaints that you don’t deserve. This happens. Receiving a few spam complaints every once in awhile is okay. However, if you receive a lot of spam complaints then that is not a good situation.

“Link Tips to Increase your Google Ranking”

An Internet business relies on website traffic. They find ways to drive traffic to their website from joint ventures to Google AdWords. This traffic provides a bounty of potential customers leading to sales. Another powerful method that drives traffic to your Internet business website is using links. Following is a list of link tips that not only increase the amount of traffic to your website, but can increase the quality of the traffic as well.

Link Tip #1: Always put several links to your website in the emails you send out. The goal of these emails is to get people to take action and go to your website. Provide clickable links at the top, middle, and in the P.S. at the end of the email. These links help train people to go to your website. Plus, having links in your email shortens the length of the email. This is easier on the eyes and attention span of the email reader. Essentially, you have short content in the email and then full content can be found when they click on the link and go to your website.

Link Tip #2: The “right” links can be powerful. Find websites that have a high page rank and relate to your website. Obtain a link from these websites to increase your ranking Google. Basically, you want to have high page rank sites that are related to your website pointing to you. For example, if you have a dog training website then you don’t want to have an Internet marketing site pointing to you. Instead, you want a site about dog shows pointing to you. Quality links are very, very important.

Do you follow these two link tips? Some people falsely believe that quantity is better than quality. For example, they have a page full of links and not much content. The links may or may not come from Google high page ranked sites. The links may or may not relate to their website. These many low quality unrelated links can actually hurt them as search engines love related content and quality links.

Analyze the links on your website. See how you can modify them to increase your rank in Google.

“FAQ about running your Internet business”

Do you have questions about your Autoresponder, articles, and creating your business website? Maybe you don’t have questions today, but these questions could pop up tomorrow. So you need to be aware of these common questions. Knowing the answers to these questions can save you precious time and money. Time, in fact, that could be spent making more money instead of trying to figure out a solution to the problem.

So here’s a list of questions regarding Autoresponders, articles, and your business website:

Autoresponder Question: I am moving an old list that I haven’t followed up with or contacted in awhile. I want to move this old list from the AutoResponse Plus to 1Shopping Cart. Can I just import this list into 1Shopping Cart or do I need to contact each person on the list?

Autoresponder Answer: When you move the list to 1Shopping Cart they will make the list double opt-in. 1Shopping Cart will send your list an email about this. So make sure to send an email to the list ahead of time so you can prepare them for the 1ShoppingCart email.

Note: If you haven’t really talked to these people or followed up then your response rate is probably going to be really low. Still do it, but just note that you might lose a lot of emails during the transition.

Articles Question: I know that submitting articles is a great way of viral marketing. I send out several articles on a consistent basis. I use the article submitter called Article Submitter Pro. Are there any other article submission programs that are faster?

Articles Answer: No, nothing is faster than Article Submitter Pro. If you want to try another article submitter program try Article Announcer.

Business Website Question: How do you select which keywords to put in the HTML code for your business website?

Business Website Answer: It depends. If you don’t use conversion tracking then look at keywords that have the highest click through rate. If you ARE using conversion tracking then look at the words that are converting the most. Put the top 2-3 keywords in your title tag. Don’t have more than 83 characters in your title tag.

Business Website Question: What is conversion tracking?

Business Answer: Login to your Google AdWords account to find conversion tracking. It will give you a code where you can track cost per lead and your lead conversion. It tracks from when people land on your website to getting to your thank you page. The click through rate, on the other hand, tells you the time it takes from somebody searching Google to the time they reach your website.

3 Hot Tips for Internet Businesses

Running a profitable Internet business involves a plethora of tasks that need to be taken care of each day. Following are three hot tips that you can apply to your Internet business in no time flat.

Hot Tip #1: Affiliate management is crucial.
You have to have your own affiliate program. If you don’t, you are losing money. You need to utilize other people’s efforts through an affiliate program. The goal is to leverage your business. You can accomplish this by having your affiliates spend money on Google AdWords that advertise your products. All successful online businesses have their own affiliate programs in place.

If you want to increase profits from your affiliates by 200-300% then you need to give them the tools they need! Most affiliate programs only supply affiliates with an affiliate link. This is not enough!

Provide your affiliate with as much information as possible such as banner ads. Provide them with 5 line, 10 line, solo, and Blog ads. Provide your affiliates with Blog reviews, Google AdWords ads so all they have to do is copy and paste your advertising information.

Hot Tip #2: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) It is imperative that you know how to use search engine optimization so you can obtain the prime spots in the Google search engine results.

Hot Tip #3: Traffic generation through “site targeted” advertising.
Site Targeted” Advertising can be administered through Google AdWords. In site targeted advertising you pay per 1,000 impressions (CPM). You bid how much you will pay every 1,000 times your ad is shown. Clicks don’t matter. An impression means only when the ad is shown to the user.

You can specify where your ads are going to appear by doing the following:
Select a topic. Find keywords for that topic. (10 keywords)
Use Google to find target websites that have your topic. Look for the websites and/or topics that have a huge amount of traffic.
Look for sites that advertise Google AdSense on their website. At the bottom of the site you will see an ad that says “Advertise on this site”. Click on it. That will take you to your Google AdWords account and advertise on that SPECIFIC site.
Use a BANNER ad to dominate the whole website with your ad. This will dramatically increase the click through rate.

Problem with Google Adwords? Try these tips.

Google Adwords is an advertising program used by Internet entrepreneurs all over the world. Google Adwords can be an effective way to reach potential subscribers and sell products. However, Google Adwords can sometimes pose obstacles.

For example, let’s say that you are running a Google Adwords campaign. The Google Adwords campaign works well when you set up a pay-per-click campaign using 250 keywords for your website. Initially, the minimum cost-per-click was $0.06 and the maximum cost-per-click was $0.10. You run the campaign for two days and your Google Adwords advertisements place high as #1.

Then a few days later you are stunned by Google’s response. Google says that you now have to pay a cost-per-click of $0.50. It leaves you to wonder how the cost-per-click suddenly sky rocketed. Are other advertisers paying for the same keyword phrase? Why is Google increasing the cost when you have very specific keywords?

Google has various rationales as to why they suddenly up the cost-per-click price. First of all, you may not pay $0.50 per click even though Google raised it to this new level. It depends on who else is bidding for the keyword. Therefore, you may actually end up paying much less per click. So don’t take the number at face value. You can accept the $0.50 per click value and watch it closely. Test it out.

What if you are uncomfortable with the high pay-per-click cost and don’t even want to risk trying it out? There are a few things you can do in this case. You can try switching from a “keyword targeted” strategy to a “site targeted” strategy.

Open up your Google Adwords campaign and “pause” the keyword targeted option. Activate the site targeted option. You can target specific sites regarding your topic. You can pick and choose what sites your advertisements will be on. The site targeted option is a little different from the keyword targeted option in that it does not run on a cost-per-click model. Instead, it is based on a cost-per-impression model. Running a site targeted strategy may be your best bet at combating high cost-per-click levels.

Another suggestion to alleviate Google Adwords problems is to try running a different advertising program called Adbrite at http://www.adbrite.com. Another option is to run a keyword advertising program on http://www.msn.com.

Remember, Google Adwords is a beneficial option, but not the only choice. Don’t give up. Test and tweak. Keep trying.

6 Tips to a Profitable Joint Venture

Joint ventures are an extremely effective way to break into the Internet business market. Joint ventures also help to keep your business riding high as you bring in more subscribers and increase sales. Therefore, an Internet business entrepreneur should participate in and actively seek out joint venture partnerships.

When seeking out and creating joint ventures you should keep a few things in mind. Following are tips to help you set up and maintain an effective affiliate program in your joint venture.

Joint Venture Tip #1: You should have an affiliate manager program set up before you take part in a joint venture. Kick Start Cart is an excellent program to use.

Joint Venture Tip #2: Place all your digital products on http://www.clickbank.com. Why? Clickbank has an established affiliate program that makes it simple to create joint ventures.

Joint Venture Tip #3: If you are offering a digital product to affiliates then you might want to be more generous to the affiliate. This means that you offer 70% commission to the affiliate while you take the remaining 30% commission. Normally, a joint venture has a split of 50/50 for the commission. However, for digital products the 70/30 split will bring in higher quality and more motivated affiliates.

Joint Venture Tip #4: Bribe joint venture parties to become your affiliate. A joint venture partnership needs to be beneficial for both parties involved. Therefore, you need to make your offering attractive to an affiliate. What is in it for them? In certain situations you can offer a 100% commission to affiliates. This may seem crazy, but it is a long term strategy. The 100% commission will motivate affiliates to heavily promote and sell your product. You won’t make the commission at that time, but you will bring in a quality subscriber list which you can promote to and make money off of in the future.

Joint Venture Tip #5: Find an affiliate program that is easy for BOTH you and the affiliate. You want to make it as easy possible for an affiliate to partner with you. You should provide the content for the Google Adwords advertisements, emails, banners, etc. for the affiliates. Have the content all ready to go so the affiliate can simply take your information and plug it into their strategy.

Joint Venture Tip #6: Sign up for affiliate programs to find out how they manage their affiliate program. You don’t necessarily have to sell anything for them. You just want to model their strategy if it is lucrative. Success leaves clues. Use these clues to your benefit. A great affiliate program to check at is http://www.promotematt.com/.
