“Stay ahead in the marketplace with these cutting edge techniques.”

When it comes to your opt-in page, cutting edge techniques will amaze you. Examples of cutting edge techniques include Internet businesses that will cater more to the customer. You will give the customer what they want as opposed to just selling your product to them. This applies to the opt-in page in that more information will be asked on the opt-in page then was asked in the past. For example, people will be asked for their age, state, phone number, etc. in addition to their name and primary email address.

Why ask for the phone number? You can find out where people live. Plus, you can get people on the phone and speak with them directly. You can also send out a voice blast that has announcements about your website, business, and products.

For example, let’s say that a customer signed up for your teleseminar list. The day after the teleseminar you can send a voice blast to them that tells them about a website you set up just for them. Give them the website address and tell them how they can get more free stuff and buy products on this website. It has been found that this follow up phone call increases sales.

Tip: When you give away bonus gifts they have to have real world value. Don’t give away crap that people can get for free somewhere else on the Internet. Give them items that you create or that could actually be sold.

Also make sure to implement scarcity in your offers. During the voice blast you can explain that the special website will only be available for 24 hours. Or you can give this 24 hour offer during the teleseminar. Your phone call the next day will prompt any people to buy that had initially been dragging their feet on the offer. This is a powerful technique. Your sales conversion will dramatically increase.

Let’s look at the sales letter. You can personalize the sales letter based on information you obtained when people opted in to your list. For example, you can ask people for the state they live in when they sign up for your list. Then you can set up technology that plugs in their state in the sales letter. Your sales letter headline can say “Offer for people from (state)”. Sales conversion usually increases as the sales letter is more personalized. You can also use the extra information in emails and other forms of communication with your customer.

Do note that your opt-in list sign up rate may falter when you ask more information. If you ask for too much information then you may scare people away. The only way to find out is to test it. Modify how much information, and the type of information you ask, on your opt-in list and see how it affects your list sign up rates.

Matt Bacak

“6 Powerful Opt-In List Building Techniques”

What techniques can you use to get people to sign up for your opt-in list?

List Technique #1: Tell people what to expect when they click the submit button on your website and are added to your list. It is the law of expectation. People are less likely to click on the submit button if they have no idea what they are going to get in return.

List Technique #2: Tell people exactly what you want them to do. Tell them that you want them to type in their name and primary email address. Tell them to then hit the submit button. Use direct language.

List Technique #3: Don’t be shy. Ask for what you want. Don’t be scared of offending somebody by asking them to sign up for your list and to buy your products. You need to cater to as many audiences as possible. Be careful about the words you choose, but still be more forceful. On the Internet you have to be more direct and forceful because you are not face to face with the customer.

List Technique #4: Also take customer replies with a grain of salt. Let’s say that you have a pop up on your website. You may have somebody write you because they are mad about the pop ups. They may write a long letter about how pushy you are. Remember that is just one person’s opinion. Don’t feel bad and don’t let it deter your efforts. It is impossible to please everybody all the time. Plus, 99% of your list might love the pop ups!

List Technique #5: Another technique that works is to put a red box around the submit button. This draws the focus of attention to submit button and signing up for the list.

List Technique #6: Remember to ask for the “primary” email address. Many people have several email addresses and you want to contact them through the email address that they use most often. Plus, you want to prevent them from typing in a fake or hardly-used web email address.

Follow these list building techniques and you will have a quality list in no time.

Matt Bacak

“The Secret of the Forced Sales Letter”

People think that Internet businesses are all about technology. They think that fancy technology is more important that solid marketing techniques. They are wrong. Dead wrong. Technology can only enhance the fundamentals of good marketing. If you don't have good marketing practices already established then any technologies you implement will only amplify what you are doing right and what you are doing wrong. Therefore, if you are do anything wrong it will stand out like a sore thumb and slow down your Internet business.

An example of fundamental marketing that is time tested is the sales letter. You need to have a sales letter on your website. Utilize the techniques of direct response marketing and traditional marketing in your sales letter. Your sales letter doesn't have to rely on fancy technology techniques. In fact, fancy technology can be distracting. Stick to the components of a classic sales letter.

The key is to build an opt-in list of people that are allowed to see your sales letter. You can achieve this by asking for people's name and email address before you let them receive any free bonuses you have to offer. Plus, after you have obtained their name and email address you should send them directly to your sales letter. This type of sales letter is called a forced sales letter because you make them read and view it before you give them the free items you promised.

Why show your sales letter only to people that sign up for your list? It's simple. You don't want everyone to see your sales letter. You only want qualified leads to see your sales letter. This allows you to avoid any tire kickers that won't buy your products anyway.

People that signed up for your opt-in list are qualified leads because they took the time to sign up for your list and demonstrated that they trusted you enough to give you their information. These are the type of people that are apt to become long, paying, satisfied customers.

“Unleash the power of online video”

The Internet is a broadcast media that is a hybrid between print media, direct response, and audio and video. Technology over the last 20 years has become affordable and powerful for common users. In the old days technology was out of reach for most people. The technology was difficult to use, expensive, and cumbersome. Internet businesses today are lucky in that they can use inexpensive, easy to use, quality audio and video on their website.

Let’s look at using video in your online business. Online video is so powerful that someday it could replace long sales letter copy. Using audio on the Internet has been used for many years. Video is a much more recent reality in the Internet business world.

New technology and broadband has made it possible to use video online. Video is effective because it is what most people are used to. Think about it. We are used to watching television. Video enables you to convey emotions and information at the same time. Video enables people to see and hear you. They will become more used to you and trust you.

Video enables you to communicate your message quickly. A traditional long sales letter, on the other hand, may take 15 minutes for the person to read. Video enables you to promote and show people how your product works in just a few minutes. Video works off of the infomercials that people are already used to watching on television.

Video can help your website visitors make a decision. The decisions can range from signing up for your opt-in list to buying one of your highest ticket products. Video can teach, touch, and build a relationship with your customers. You will snag more customers and earn more money using video.

Another example is the use of video testimonials. Customers will believe other customers more than they believe you. Video testimonials allow potential customers to see, hear, and believe current customers. You are much more likely to buy a product if you listen and see somebody talk about it than if you just read a printed sales letter.

“Pack your Affiliate Programs with Promotional Tools”

You have to use a hook to grab people so they will sign up for your list. They have to know what is in it for them. You can convey your hook more effectively through audio and video. Set up an audio and/or video that demonstrates your marketing message and what people will receive when they sign up for your list.

Some people will put in fake addresses on your opt-in list, but this is normal. Just ignore those fake email addresses. Focus on the legitimate people that do want to be on your list. This is targeted traffic that desires to know more about you and your products.

When a person signs up for your opt-in list you have a captive audience. This is the best time to ask them to refer friends. Not everybody will refer friends, but your list will grow even if only a few use the tell-a-friend script. It will always be better than if you didn’t use the tell-a-friend script at all.

Use the butterfly marketing concept of running an affiliate program. Affiliate programs are an excellent way to make small changes to your marketing campaign that has a huge effect on your promotion and bottom line. Read on to find out tips and tricks for affiliate programs.

When you set up an affiliate program it has to be simple. If you don’t then people won’t do what they are expected to do. If you think that people will promote your website after you give them an affiliate link then you are sadly mistaken. Instead, you need to provide them with promotional tools that automatically have their affiliate link embedded in the promotional tools. You should provide them the copy and promotional tools they need to promote your website. Make it simple for them. The affiliate will be much more likely to promote your website and products if they are armed with your information.

Provide multi-promotion tools for affiliates to use which include: email copy of several offers and email communication, Blog reviews, ezine ads, articles, press releases, banner images they can use, pay-per-click campaign, form signatures, email signatures, and the list goes on and on. Make sure to tell them how to use each specific promotional tool.

Create an affiliate program that has instructions in steps. People want a complete program to follow. They want to go through each step until they are finished. You don’t want them to pick and choose which promotional tools to use. Instead, you want them to use all your promotional tools so that you can maximize their affiliate efforts.

If you don’t take the time to create this material for your affiliates then they won’t take the time to create them either. If you want affiliates to spread the word about you and your products then you have to give them a promotional package about you and your products. This will create active affiliates and earn your more money.

Matt Bacak

“Are you losing 97% or more of your customers?”

How many times do you think an average visitor visits your website before they buy? Do they buy from your website right away? The average visitor comes to your website 4 to 7 times before they buy. If you don’t capture their personal information quickly then you could be missing out on sales.

Let’s look at sales letters as they are the main component of your sales. Did you know that if your sales letter converts at 3% then your sales letter is considered effective? However, what happens to the other 97% that don’t convert in your sales letter? You are essentially throwing 97% of your potential customers in the trash which is a recipe for failure.

How can you grab that 97% and turn them into customers? Look at your call to action on your website landing page. Are you only directing them to the sales letter? If you want to dramatically increase your sales conversion to 30% then you need to capture their name and email address. How is this possible? You can accomplish this sales conversion by getting people to sign up for your list. Once you have them on your opt-in list you can constantly send them emails. The emails will contain pertinent information as well as offers. You can sell your products and services far into the future. They will get to know you through your email messages and will most likely buy something in the future.

What should you know about creating an opt-in list? Fundamentally, it boils down to driving your website traffic to a squeeze page that gives away a free item in exchange for their name and email address. Then send them to a sales page. If they don’t buy from your sales page right now, at least you will have their contact information so you can continue to sell to them. They will eventually buy your products in the future or they will unsubscribe from your list. Either way you will have a higher conversion rate then you would if you didn’t capture their personal information in the first place.

Matt Bacak

“The NET- Marketing System – Step Three”

Remember, the 3 Step Net-marketing System:

N – Niche

E – Expert

T – Target

Let’s take a look at the third step.

Step #3: Target customers in your niche. There is a bounty of ways to target your customers. Plus, many of these ways are free.

1. You can place ads on ezines, search engines, and various websites. The key is to track the effectiveness of each ad. Use pay-per-click advertising.

2. Use other peoples’ traffic and other peoples’ lists. Go back to the people that you worked with to get testimonials and content. Who did you interview? Do they have a complementary list that they would be willing to share? Make sure that you are willing to share the wealth as well when you have an established list.

Tip: Within your niche find out who gets the most traffic and ask for their lists. You can use http://www.alexa.com to find out if they really are getting the traffic to their website that they claim.

Tip: Offer to work through a joint venture affiliate program in order to obtain their lists. You can offer complementary products in your niche. You can promote each other’s complementary products to your subscriber lists.

Tip: Establish relationships with other authorities in your niche right from the start of your online business. These relationships will set you up for joint ventures which can bring in more subscribers and more money.

Tip: Don’t overlook the offline opportunities. You can have joint ventures that are in the offline arena.

3. You can promote and sell your products to website visitors directly on the website and/or after they have opted in to your list. It depends on your niche and product. You can perform testing and see which method works the best.

4. Make sure that customers opt-in to your list when they visit your website. If they close your website before opting in to your list, make sure that you have an exit pop up that asks them to sign up for your list.

5. Make sure to offer free bonuses that tempt people to subscribe to your list. You should also offer free bonuses with your product. The free bonuses should be relevant to your product and the problems of customers that are within your niche. Make sure to give the value of each bonus so your customer will realize just how much of a great deal they are receiving if they sign up for your list and/or buy your product.

6. Follow up with an Autoresponder sequence of emails. These emails continue to build the relationship with your customers. The emails also allow you to continually sell to your customers.

“Triple your Opt-In List in 99 Days – Part I”

How to build and triple your opt-in subscriber list in 99 days or less:

Step #1: Start with your passion. Use the “PIE” principle which is passion, interest, and expertise. You don’t have to be super fast or super smart to succeed in the world; you just have to be one step above the middle ground. This small increment will set you apart and on the road to success.

Step #2: Engage in market research. Go to Google and http://www.goodkeywords.com and http://www.wordtracker.com is a resource that will help you find information about niche.

Step #4: Name your list and make sure it is relevant to your product and niche.

Step #5: Write an attention grabbing tagline. This provides your unique selling proposition in your niche. Not sure how to write this? Think of 5-6 words that are beneficial in context and relate to your niche. These 5-6 words may be just want you need to create your tagline.

Tip: A short tagline is preferred at 7-10 words in length. Your tagline should demonstrate why your product or service is unique. Also make sure to convey that your product or service is the only solution to the customer’s problem so that they will automatically choose your product or service over your competitors.

Step #6: You have to capture the attention of your target market. You can accomplish this by writing a 15-30 description of the benefits of your product.

Tip: Your goal is to convert leads and prospects into paying customers.

Step #7: The fortune is in the follow up. You can follow up in a variety of manners. An example is to send a newsletter. Another example is to have an Autoresponder that sends follow up emails on a specific schedule. You can also send updates and announcement emails to your list as a means of follow up.

“The Nuts and Bolts of Internet Marketing and Opt-In Lists”

There are 5 Basic Steps of Internet Marketing which include:

Step #1: Discover and sell what you are passionate about. What is your mission in life? You need to determine this because you are more apt to be successful if you work in an industry and/or niche that you feel passionate about. Find something that you can see yourself doing for several years down the road. Your passion will help you achieve success over any obstacles that may come your way.

Tip: Your business exists to support you…you don’t exist to support your business.

Step #2: Target your marketing to a niche market. Get rich in your niche.

Step #3: Find a lead product or products that your target market desires. Create low cost products under $100.

Step #4: Build and develop your own profit pipeline. You want to have a wealth funnel. This helps you maximize the amount of profit you can earn from your entire business. Profit pipeline is when you find leads and introduce them to your product through promotion and at the end of your pipeline you earn profit.

Step #5: Up sell your customers with your medium cost and high profit backend products. High ticket products are those that are $500 or higher. You only need to sell a few high ticket items to make as much or more than selling a bunch of low ticket items. Therefore, strive to sell these high ticket backend items.

Benefits of own opt-in list:

1. Builds your credibility in your niche market.

2. Builds a relationship with a large number of people. You use technology to build human relationship. In other words, you use your website to grab their attention and you talk to them on the phone to create a human component of your relationship.

3. You can convert subscribers into buyers more often than just having a list of readers.

4. You earn more money through multiple streams of income that incorporate your list.

5. You insure monthly income as long as you provide pertinent content and offers.

6. You can engage in free, instant market research by surveying your list. For example, your survey can help you create a product that your customers want.

7. You are able to promote others through joint ventures. For example, you can promote their book on Amazon to your list.

8. You have a massive amount of people that you can interact with and brainstorm with everyday.

“How to Create Highly Profitable Product”

Think you need years of experience and education in order to create high profit products? Think again. You can create your own high profit products with absolutely no experience. This can be accomplished if you have the knowledge of the steps necessary to achieve this goal.

Let’s start with this question - Have you had an idea for something, but it was too complicated to create? For example, you may have an idea for a software program, but don’t know how to write computer code. You know how you want it to work, but don’t know the technical specs behind it.

So how can you create and build this highly profitable product? Follow these steps:

First step: Ask yourself - Why should you create a product?

Reasons include:

1. You want to make money. You aren’t looking for friends; you’re looking for cold, hard cash.

2. You want to create a brand name and/or you want to be recognized.

3. You want to create an opt-in list based on the product.

4. You want to capitalize on current trends in the marketplace. Essentially, you are creating a product that is going to solve the problem that people have. This problem is fluid and can change on a daily basis, especially since the Internet links the entire world in real time.

The good news is that you don’t have to know how to make a product because you can hire people to create the product for you. For example, for your software product you can hire a computer programmer that will write the code for you. You pay them a fee, but you will recoup this fee and much, much more so it is worth outsourcing the job to a professional.

Now let’s look at your Internet business website:
How many other websites are linked to you? This gives you your link popularity. Google looks at the number of sites that are linked to you. Don’t forget to look at the link popularity of your competitors. How many sites do they have linked to them?

Don’t forget your Opt-In List:
You can create an opt-in list on the page that sells your product. This opt-in list enables you to sell more of your other products to the subscriber.

So outsource the creation of your product and tweak your Internet business. This will lead to the victory of a highly profitable product.
